Now, if you’re in Edison, you’re bound to visit this place. Either your overly ambassadoring friend pestered you, or you read the most illustrious reviews on Google, you end up visiting the place. Well, impartial reviewer that I am, I still say that the place deserves the honor it’s been showered upon. The food is impeccably scrumptious, the serving size is unbelievably perfect and the food standards are as high as they can be. With this monopoly, I don’t lie, they have stretched the prices a bit higher than what I believe they can be, but alas, who else worries about the extra bucks you spend for an amazingly authentic South Indian cuisine at your Edison doorstep!

We love the combos they have. It’s a weekend go to brunch place. The food here feels home. They generally have availability so you just walk in. The maximum wait is around 10 minutes during weekends.

One of the most popular places for a South Indian meal. Love the dosa and idli here, they offer many variations within idly/dosa. The service is pretty quick, the ambience is very clean and the taste is very authentic. I like all the chutneys provided with the dishes. One of my recommended places on oak tree road.

Food was good. Loved the spice level on the chili chutney. The surprise was pineapple rasam, yummy. The online ordering and payment was so good. I feel some clients who are technologically challenged may find it hard it without a menu to look at.

Came here for brunch on 4th of July. We waited 5 mins before being seated. The food and the service was excellent. Saravanaa Bhavan holds true to its brand value and truly had the power of invoking nostalgia!

The food was good, everyone liked it and service was good.Even my brother loved the food he is a very picky eater. It became his favorite restaurant after dining here.

Prices kept increasing. Dosa which was $9 in 2016 is now $15. This is shameful increase. No improvement in quality, customer service or treatment

This place is my must visit stop whenever i am traveling towards nyc from Virginia.. They make pretty great south indian food.. Heaven for vegetarians.. My fav is their mini ghee idli and vada dipped in sambhar and also ghee roast dosa.. Their filter coffee is also nice.. It feels great to get the authentic south indian food so far away from India...and would love if they can open a franchise in Virginia

We were on a road trip to East coast from MN. Authentic South Indian restaurants like these are rare in the Midwest. And they all invariably serve a brown color watery liquid masquerading as Madras Filter Coffee and they swear by their life that it is a freshly brewed Kaapi. So, when we decided on an East Coast trip, the very first thing on our list was not Niagra, not Times Square, but to have a proper Kaapi at HSB (Hotel Saravanbhavan). For starters, HSB is one of the biggest chains of restaurants in Chennai, India. The brand is more like an identify of the city. Although, HSB is losing its sheen at home, their restaurants in the US still have the same charm. We were here on the day of Christmas for Lunch time and they had South Indian Thali as well as the default South Indian breakfast items - Idli, Pongal, Dosai and Vadai. They were served in a traditional way on a Banana Leaf. Washed it all down with 2 Coffees (yes, they were so good that I ended up having 2) The Vibes this place was giving, the presentation of food and the amalgamation of aromas of Sambar and Kaapi immediately transported me back to my Chennai days, where having a Sambar Vadai and sipping a Kaapi in HSB was all the fuel you needed to kickstart the day in Tidel park (My office location). The restaurant was packed. But considering the crowd, the service was pretty fast. Pricing is high, but given the authenticity, taste and the quality, I do not mind this burning a hole in my pocket once a while. HWe have been to the ones in Lexington Avenue and West Windsor. Although we didn't have any complaints over there, this is our favorite of the lot. Highly recommended if you are looking for some authentic South Indian Tamil style food.

I simply loved this place. I loved it for so many reasons like ambience, quality of food, cleanliness, authentic South Indian food, the quick service and digital way to place and pay for your order. I definitely recommend this place. #satisfiedSoul #satisfiedTummy
