My family has never walked out of a restaurant after being seated before. But we’ve never had such an unpleasant experience at a restaurant before. We were seated fairly quickly, which was nice, but it was a Wednesday, so it was not too surprising. Our waiter asked us if we wanted anything, so we asked for 4 waters. Once the waters arrived, we thanked him and one of the members of our party asked if they had any lemon, and after asking how many we wanted, he walked away quickly. Once he provided the lemons, we thanked him again, we finished asking him for straws. Our waiter then yelled at us for making him walk back and forth instead of asking for everything at once. He went and got the straws, threw them on our table, and we thanked him again. After he left, we had a discussion among ourselves, and decided we no longer wanted to eat at the restaurant after poor treatment by the waiter. We had not ordered any food yet, so we silently left, leaving our untouched water, lemon and straws behind. As we were leaving and got inside our car, our waiter chased us down, banged on our car window, and told us not to come back.As I have said before, this was one of the worst experiences we have had at a restaurant, and have never felt uncomfortable enough to leave a restaurant in this manner. We do have fairly dark brown skin, but there were other brown skinned families at the restaurant who seemed to be enjoying themselves, so fortunately it doesn’t look like race was a factor.Hopefully other patrons aren’t treated this way.

We were here for Dinner with friends. Decor is normal nothing great. Lots of seating space and parking. Though it is Malaysian/ Thai restaurant servers speak Chinese. Food was good and reasonably priced. Crispy Indian style roti is excellent. They do not have liquor license, hence one can have own liquor bottles. No corkage is charged. Over all good experience.

Food is really good particularly authentic Malaysian dishes. The long wait to be seated (sometimes 30 minutes plus), then another long wait to take the order and poor customer service - if improved, it’s a good place. My experience was during the weekend so maybe just wrong time.Maybe next time I’ll just order food and take my time to pick up so I don’t have to wait.

To me Thai means this restaurant (after Bennies Thai in lower Manhattan which is now closed). I usually bring my friends or family here. Everyone likes the basic authentic Thai flavor of the dishes here. Not a fancy restaurant but still a very good ambience for families to have some good Thai for lunch or dinner.Recommended for anyone here in N Brunswick/ Edison close to US 1 who wants to enjoy some good Thai food. I love their Red and Green Thai curry with rice.Price wise it’s OK. Not cheap.

This restaurant has really gone downhill. I came here before covid and it was great. Today the service was non-existent and they were messing up a lot of tables orders and giving people the incorrect food. We ordered the milk tea. The woman taking the orders rushed everyone to give their orders at all tables then went away. They delivered us a Thai hot tea (which isn't even on the menu). I had said no we wanted the Malaysian milk tea. And I guess the woman expected me to be stupid because she tried convincing me that the Thai milk tea was the same as the Malaysian milk tea even though I have ordered it there before. Really stubborn. We let it go and just kept the incorrect tea so we could still get our food and not worry about it. The 2 curries came out and the third person was still waiting for their meal. The rest of the table ate for 10 minutes until we called a waiter over and asked where the food was. My chicken and potato curry had a good flavor but was extremely dry like the chicken was cooked for too long. They delivered to us an extra rice which we didn't order and charged us for it. They delivered my meal to the table next to us until I called them over saying it was mine. The other table told the waiter they didn't order it. Overall, the service was extremely bad and unorganized. I will not be back. I'm sad this place is not as good as before covid. I guess maybe the old owners sold it.

The staff was super nice and the vibe is boujie but also chill at the same time. Their drunken noodles are super worth it.

Penang will indefinitely always be Penang. Try too hard on flavor but will price their food a little more expensive than their competition, give you a little less portion than others, and service is based on luck. Same formula since their renovation a while ago. I mean it's good eating, I just feel like I get ripped off every time I eat here.

The food used to be great. However, in the past year, food quality has diminished dramatically. Shrimp wontons arrive with no filling, just fried crisps. I was given the completely wrong food at takeout (I don’t eat meat but was given chicken fried rice). Wait times are an hour + longer than you are told for pickup. You may have luck dining in, but absolutely do not take out from here.

I eat here several times and make me feel like at home. Nice, and really Asian taste. Price is not too expensive and parking lot is enough all guests.
