It was recommended to me by some foreign students in the program, who were visiting from China. When we finished our masters program, a bunch of us went out to lunch with our favorite professor, who got his Ph.D. in San Francisco. He said that this restaurant was on par with the best Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. I simply felt it was the best Chinese restaurant in New Jersey.

This place is close to me and I really enjoy the Sichuan food here. It is much less Americanized than typical Chinese takeout- you can really taste the Sichuan peppercorns and Doubanjiang and other Chinese ingredients they use here. So far I have tried: Cumin Lamb, Three Pepper Chicken, Mapo Tofu, and Fish Filet in Hot Oil. They were all excellent, the meat was tender and generous, I loved the spiciness, and I especially loved the flavor in the chicken and fish dishes. Each dish is 2 servings for me.Both times I’ve gotten food here, I called and ordered for pick-up. The food was made promptly and the man working at the counter was friendly, so I’m happy with the service too.I took a picture of the Chinese menu. I can neither speak nor read Chinese, so I translated it at home. Next time I think I will point to the ones I want on that menu so I can try some more dishes not listed on the English menu.The only reasons why I am not giving 5 stars are these: the dishes are a bit expensive compared to other Sichuan Chinese places. If the prices were more affordable, I would no doubt come all the time. Because they’re not, this is a place I go every once in a while. Additionally, I wish I got more rice with my meals- I always have to make another batch at home to finish the leftovers.
Not ordering from here again. I ordered 3 large shrimp and broccoli from this location, our family has been coming here for 30 years. The 3 were cross contaminated with beef pieces. I do not belive this was on purpose and it was an accident. But when I called to complain, the owner wanted me to bring back the food because he didn't believe me that they were contaminated. I told him I would text him photos, but he doesn't have internet. Photos attached. Be aware if you are vegetarian or have other dietary restrictions.

One of my favorite restaurants hands down! The food’s fantastic and I hope we get to dine inside again soon. I know the pandemic has been rough for them, so if you ever get the chance, please stop by and support them! Your tastebuds will thank you :)
Very good food and portions. They provide free scallion pancakes and soups! Delicious!
Best Chinese food ever! Been coming to dragon palace since I was a kid and have never found a restaurant that tastes better than here!!
To help out our local store, we placed an order online by letting them know that we will pick it up by 7:00. We arrive an hour after we placed an order. When we arrive there, there is no body in the building because we knocked all the doors, honk my minivan horn and called multiple times for nobody responded. My kids and husband are waiting at home and we have been fasting for Islamic religious belief. I was happy to see some other restaurant were open so I went over to other restaurant to purchase for my family. We cook 95% of the time at home but we felt that we need to help the restaurant business community as result of COVID disruption. It was not right. There website is up and running. Now I have to call my credit card company to dispute the charge because the credit company told me that I can only be able to dispute it after it show up on my account.
An authentic Chinese restaurant. You might want to order from the Chinese menu. The staff is friendly to recommend dishes. Very reasonably priced. Comes with unlimited soup and hot dessert and sides. I havent had a bad dish here. Most of the stuff I ordered, even not being able to read the characters from menu, came out awesome. They also provide americanized version, which isn't my thing.
