We came here at the recommendation of a friend. Driving up we were very tempted to go elsewhere. Tucked away behind a low-end hotel, it really is an unappealing location. However, inside it was busy with a massive party and individual diners. The food was very good! The service was pleasant also, though for some reason the dishes cam out one at a time with no real order.
Royal Mughal Indian ambiance. Vegetarian and non vegetarian both options available. Huge place. Clean , staff is humble. Food is tasty . We called and reserved the table over the phone ☎️. They do have party halls and banquet. Had a great time
Had a wedding at the venue. Was somewhat taken back that we were charged with tip on both the setting up of the stage and serving of the food( it was buffet). At the end of the night we weren’t even able to take home food that we had catered from outside the restaurant. The soda provided was the off brand 1 dollar soda. There was technical issues with the audio equipment. He attempted to charge us for chai separately!
Great food and service! Enjoyed the farewell lunch!
Food is SALTY..HEALTH WARNINGS!!! Blood pressure will go low if consumed certain food from this restaurant. Also, one dish is unexpectedly a FOOLER....They have something called as KURKURE / KURMURE BHINDI ( okra) on their menu under Vegetarian entreeWe ordered Kurkure bhindi, lamb curryKurkure bhindi was a fooler it was just OKRA dipped in flour and deep fried.... TOO MUCH SALTY AND OILY... not at all good for eating unless you have ordered to consume it as a snack if u r having whisky.. but still it was damn salty.. not goodLamb curry was salty too...Check pics
Meh. The naan did not seem to come from tandoor but was some store bought stuff heated on pan. Ordered the assorted kabobs. Chicken kabobs were chewy and dry. Lamb kabob was ok. Tandoori stuff was disappointing for a mughlai restaurant. Avoidable.
I wanted to give Five star, because I know this restaurant for almost since its open, which is about 30 years and also the owner. Owner has same enthusiasm when this restaurant was open, that is amazing. He do care for his customer by walking into the dining room and checking on the guest. Food is great and well presented.Reason I have to give one star less because the service was not friendly at all and without smile by waiter and waitress. Also upon getting a check, I did not know, also the waiter and waitress did not inform me that they have add on 18% of the tips. I was ready to give 20% tip and then I realize that they have already charged me 18% gratuity on my invoice. Upon verifying with waiter he said " yes we have already charged the tips". I was like well why do not you tell me if you have already charged the gratuity!
I was attending a party in the banquet hall, so I won't be reviewing the restaurant part. Overall, the place was decent. The decorations inside and outside were awesome. The food was very good. A lot of small, but noticeable, things needed maintenance/replacement, though. I've attached pictures. Again, overall, the experience was good but wear-and-tear is showing in some places.
Food is not at all good. Only place and people are good there. Food quality is not the best or better or good irrespective of price. No doubt price is very high in comparison to other neighborhoods.
I did my daughter's 1st birthday at Akbar Restaurant on July 18 2021. The staff, the manager, the owners and the chef were all so great and everything came out so beautifully. their outdoor venue the garden is breathtaking gorgeous. i highly recommend this venue for all events. In the past we have done my nephew's birthday and other family events at this venue for relatives in the indoor hall and everything was perfect. they are very accommodating and work with you on your every need. Thank you Mrs. Malhotra and Thank you so much Rohit for everything you have done for us.
