Great authentic Cuban cuisine! I had the Vaca Frita with red beans and fried yuca! Also ordered some papa rellena and croquetas as appetizers and the home made hot sauce was ? The management and waitress was great!
This was my first time having Cuban food and it didn’t disappoint! I got the pork chunks appetizer and oxtail entree with rice and fried plantains. The highlight was definitely the oxtail — the sauce was perfectly seasoned, and really felt like a warm homemade meal!The restaurant itself is a cute little spot with outdoor dining. Very much felt like a mom and pop place. Since there was only one person working the floor, the service was a bit slow but my server was still really attentive and took the time to answer my questions. overall i had a fantastic experience and Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!
It was like I was back in Miami on Calle Ocho. Everything was served fresh, hot, and deliciously ?Luz was attentive, always smiling, and made sure I left satisfied and practically rolling out the door cause I was stuffed. Amazing hidden gem in Edgewater. Food is unbelievable, very authentic and flavors just like fireworks. Amazing staff and service, Willy is just alway ready to serve you at the guest level. Special thanks for new owners Alex and Jesus for such a wonderful neighborhood joint.
Wow! Where do I even begin… the service is top notch, the food is exquisite (thinking of it makes my mouth water already) and the ambiance is so welcoming! What a refreshing place to go to on a date or with family. 10/10 recommend!
My brother wanted to take me out for my 40th bday and suggested this spot after visiting the neighboring cigar shop and getting a plate of food. We grew up closeby in WNY surrounded by Cuban food so I was in. Maybe a handful of people seated which is always weird seeing alot of empty tables, but the deliveries were being pumped out and that put me at ease. Jesus (the manager I assume) was very accommodating and interested in any feedback we had. He briefly disappeared to make a delivery run. The food was amazing. Empanadas, papa rellena, and an avocado salad for apps with oxtail and branzino for entrees. Everything was spot on and delicious. Forgot to take a photo of the tres leches for desert but that was amazing as well and made in house I was told. The decor is very blah and no music or anything, but it wasn’t a first date or anything.
Absolutely love this place! You wont find better Cuban food anywhere else. The coffee is amazing also! From the management to the essential staff; everyone is very friendly and helpful in this establishment. Lovely place to be, a must visit for anyone in want of great food and coffee. Great cigar club next door with food and drinks available from the restaurant. Truly an unique experience.
We placed a phone order for pickup. It was mechanical and I felt rushed even though the order was easy with 2 Cuban sandwiches, a media niche with a side of rice and black beans. Pickup was fast and easy and the place appeared festive. The rice and beans were good but the sandwiches were dry and lacked any type of spice or flavor from the pork which was super dry left me very disappointed. We'll probably go back and check out the food whilst dining in and see if there is improvement. I was hoping for more!
Absolutely delicious! I love this little hidden gem. The food is good authentic Cuban food!! I am Cuban myself so it's hard sometimes to find the food that feels like my mom made it, lol. But this restaurant does! The server was attentive and the food came out fast. I love the ambiance as well. Can't wait to come back!
