To preface this review, I have been an avid fan of bareburger since 2015 but after having it again, things have certainly changed. Had high hopes of coming back after a couple year hiatus and my expectations were not met. The bread was stale, a burger that tasted like a hot dog (?), and was cooked beyond a medium well, and flavorless French fries, this is no longer my ultimate burger recommendation. There are better options and I would avoid this if possible. It seems the glory days of bare river have sailed and it is now just another overpriced eatery with only a hard to prove promise of being “organic” going for it.
Bareburguer always have vegan and vegetarian options this is a plus, I’ve been to two other locations and I definitely prefer the one in Ridgwood. The Brussels Sprouts are really good and the staff is friendly.
Nice spot for lunch or dinner and a drink. Food is fresh and made to order with an emphasis on non gmo.Prices are pushing it a bit for what you're getting. So I removed a star for that. Otherwise the place is convenient, clean, and staff are friendly.
First time that I ordered: I love it! I’m definitely gonna order again…Second time that I ordered: I’m like seriously?I ordered my food at 9:40 and arrives 11:40.Good luck if ordering from this place.
Today ordered Be my burger and fries from this location. It was a delivery order and my home is 4 minutes away so there supposed to be no difference between dine in or delivery in terms of product’s freshness. Aldo I received my order 7 minutes after it was ready. Brioche Bun was falling apart. Sure it was made at least 4-5 days ago. Did not put cheddar sauce even though I paid extra for it. Fries were stale. It was the worst $15 burger I’ve ever ate. Why should I pay $30 for a meal when I can have fresher and tastier hamburgers even at McDonalds? They have quality issues and almost nothing was fresh. I don’t recommend this location.
We loved it, our visit was casual cause we were waiting for our glasses (next door) and kiddos were hungry.But what a good coincidence, food was good fries perfect crunchy as we didn't got long time ago. But the party OMG amazing tasty and juicy. The service was good and they have tablets as a menu the experience was fun for my kids and u as a parent could have a little drink to enjoy. Definitely recommend it
Came here a week ago. The young woman. Slim, glasses. She was rude. Had an attitude about her. It was giving very much NEWARK. The atmosphere was nice. The layout was good. The food was good. Drinks were made great. But the customer service from the hostess was terrible.. if she was more enthusiastic. I would come back. But after that. I think I’ll always remember that experience and walk away.

I always expect Bareburger to be pricy, but this last takeout order really took it to a new level.Our onion rings side order cost us $5. For that, we received exactly 5, count 'em, FIVE onion rings. ONE ? DOLLAR ? PER ? ONION ? RINGTwo stars are for the delicious burgers, but nope, not gonna be coming back here anytime soon.
Food here is amazing. Love the staff. Plus lots of shopping in close proximity. Winning all around.
