I want to give a testimony on how I got cured from Herpes Virus. Few months back I was having some symptoms. I went to see a doctor and many blood tests was done on me, later on I was told I had Herpes. This review is for event related services. This bakery has delicious products, it's a shame their follow through for special orders is severely lacking. Met with them on May 3 regarding specialty cupcakes for an event on June 11. I was told they absolutely could do this and would touch base with me the following week, after mother's day, with design ideas, etc. I also emailed them later that day with some additional information regarding designs. After not hearing from them I finally called May 17th and left a message with the person that answered the phone since the person in charge of the order was on another line. I never heard back and realized I needed to scramble to find another source for my cupcakes. I did finally get a call on May 27th with someone wanting to go over and finalize things. Finalize things that had yet to even be decided. Go for a bite in person, go for take out, but I don't recommend you trust your special event to them.
Absolutely fantastic desserts. The peanut butter silk mouse cake might just be the best peanut butter dessert I've ever had. Great selection of delicious options.
Maras' is a unique bakery. It has a very large room with many tables and chairs to eat at and a wide variety of cakes pies and cup cakes of all sorts of flavors to eat in or take out. They also make specialty cookies and many other wonderful desserts such as Gelato ice cream! Yum! A must see place! 5 Stars!!!
Thought we would have a nice coffee and dessert at your cafe after dinner. So disappointed that you didn’t have decaf coffee At a coffee shop first of all. Two of us ordered carrot cake, stale. Icing tasted like it was in cold case awhile. One had lemon bar also dry as if there for awhile. Fourth person did enjoy her cupcake. Sorry won’t be returning or recommending to anyone!Ps: don’t think girl working wanted to be there either.
Mara’s did a fabulous job on a Giants themed two-tier all buttercream cake (no awful fondant!) for my son’s 30th birthday party! It was as delicious as it was beautiful!! It was a hit with everyone, especially my son! Thank you Betsey xo
Wanted a black and white cookie but they made them red and green for Christmas so I opted to get something else. Decided on a cannoli, which was crispy and pretty standard. Just note that they don’t call it out when you order but the ricotta filling has chocolate chips in it (not sure if they have an option without chocolate).They have a large assortment of cakes, cookies, and other pastries. They’re attached to another restaurant that is on the right when you walk in. Parking in the back lot or in the front on the street.
Came here with a friend of mine and we both really enjoyed the food! The staff was friendly and helpful. We both got a variety of desserts to try and I recommend the raspberry oat bar to anyone! Great space with lots of variety.
The absolutely Best place to order a Dessert to bring to a Family Affair ! Not to mention a great place to meet or have breakfast or lunch. Great Staff, and excellent fare. It is also a good Local Citizen in Denville and a good locally-owned company. Plenty of parking. You can't go wrong here !
After a nice day painting with a few moms and our daughters, we decided to stop into Mara's for a quick sweet treat. Mistake! We were a large party - 7 girls (age 9ish) and 5 moms. The woman taking orders (found out later it was the OWNER) thought it appropriate to call our party 'a clown car' and the 'walk in party of 13' right to our face. Very rude and very unnecessary - especially considering, in total, we spent ~$200 for coffee and cupcakes. It's a shame that I wont be back (as well as tell everyone who will listen about the experience) because the food was not bad. Many small businesses did not survive Covid. You'd think the Owner would have a more positive attitude to those that patronize her business. Very disappointed and will not spend another dollar here. Plenty of friendly bakeries in the area.
