Wife and I were on vacation and found this amazing restaurant. The dining room, food and service all exceeded our expectation. We would return if back in the area again.

This place is right here in Morris County and is a must-have experience. If only for its stunning appearance outside and inside, Hunan Taste visually commands it’s top spot as a tri-state eatery.Come early enough to admire the amazing theme and the wonderful craftsmanship of the building alone, then walk inside! The staff is pleasant and courteous from the hosts to the take-out staff to the wait staff inside. You definitely get the feeling that they are happy you are here to dine with them.I’ve eaten a lot of Chinese food in my life - whether from enduring local haunts to wholes in the wall between sky scrapers, to street carts and NYC legends. Hunan Taste in Denville continues to stand out.Dim-Sum, duck and soup are perfect there. Kung Pao shrimp is literally Pao Pao!! With table side preparation, the ante is raised for a service experience. And I still can’t believe how reasonable it is. Great for business dinners (had a couple there), family outings (stunning decor) and romantic visits (has the coziness too).In my top 10, a must see. Parking in the front, side of building, and rear lot (street if you’re lucky). Don’t forget to get your insta shots, cuz this is the place for it.

I ordered food to go and had some of the best food I've had at a Chinese Restaurant in a long time. I don't live in the area but look forward to going back and eating there again. The pork fried rice was the best I've had in a while, not greasy, lots of egg and peas.

Read all the reviews and looked at the menu and figured the good would be Somewhat authentic. Ordered roast pork fried rice dumplings, happy family And chow fun rice noodles. Fried rice was mushy and no wok hei, Pretty sad they can't make decent fried rice. Dumplings were decent. Happy family pricey at 29 bucks , was ok but a little dry. A little cheap with the meat and fish and veggies. For 30 bucks, , I felt ripped off, very overpriced. Chow fun noodles were lame. Really disappointed in this place. Food very overpriced and over rated. Atmosphere is nice and service was good, but it would be nice if the good was way better. Will not return to get overpriced sub par Chinese food

It's a cool spot. Great atmosphere and staff. The food is good. I had higher expectations reading reviews and claims this is the best Chinese food in NJ. I disagree. That being said I'm knit picking the food was good and I have zero complaints I've just had better. Started our meal with the soup dumplings by far the best part of the meal and were fantastic. The Peking Duck was enjoyable.

All the drinks and the traditional Chinese options like Soup, Dim Sum, Chicken, etc., was very good. Service was also quite good and the staff were friendly and efficient. Taking 1 Star off since the Seafood we had was overcooked.

Great atmosphere, the restaurant looks amazing inside and out . The food was good. I’m more use to flavorful Chinese food . Not saying the food wasn’t flavorful but i needed a bit more seasoning to my taste . Everything was nice and fresh , I would recommend the mango smoothie. I would go back and try a different dish . The menu has a ton of items to choose. Overall great service and experience.

I went here in a group of eight cousins. We ordered a xiao long Bao, a bird’s nest with lobster, shrimp and scallops, filet mignon Chinese style, empire seafood combo, and perking duck. We love the atmosphere but the food was ok. It was very typical fast food but served in beautiful setting and service. The best item was probably the perking duck. This restaurant has very nice private room.

Absolutely loved this place! Visited Hunan Taste for a 7pm reservation on a Friday. We were 20 min early and were seated right away. After 8, it gets crowded so make sure to make a reservation.Upon arrival, you experience Chinese decor of the restaurant and a koi fish pond. Parking is ample. The inside is spacious and staff are very welcoming and nice upon arrival and when our party left.Rice portions are small. Entrees are huge and enough for 2 servings. The drink menu has a lot of options and were tasty. For apps we ordered Crab Rangoon, Cucumber in Garlic Sauce and Chicken Lettuce Wraps. All 5 stars. Will get the cucumbers again next time as it was really refreshing and had the perfect spice. For my entree I got the sesame beef (needed salt) but otherwise it was good. This place is family owned and the wait staff provided great service. After you finish your meal, you will get heated towels. At this point, I was in awe and this gesture put a smile on my face. 10/10 will recommend!
