Horrible food! The other chef called out sick so we had to wait for our food for a long time. Not even that, the fried fish sea bass had no taste and the side orders were awful. My husband ordered broiled fish but came out with the fried one. Linguini with alfredo sauce were drowning with oil and the garlic bread were burnt. Not going back to this place. Waste of time and money! So, called the restaurant and spoke to the mgr and he was the chef last night. When I informed him the food was horrible! He hung up the phone!!!BAD CUSTOMER Service right there!!
Absolutely delicious seafood! My fish (artic char) was cooked perfectly and it was very flavorful. They had a nice selection of fresh fish.
If you like seafood, this is the place to go in the Morristown area. The food was good, our server was knowledgeable and attentive, the dining area clean and attractive.We started with an order of steamers: perfectly prepared and delicious.My wife had the lobster roll. Here I get into one of my pet peeves about reviews. I saw several reviewers complain about the size of lobster dishes. My wife loved her lobster roll, but wished it were a little bigger. At $14, I thought it was about right. If you want to get a "loaded" lobster roll, compare it to prices around: they're easily doubled. So this lobster roll was a fair value for a fair price.I had fish and chips. This is my go to base line order when I go to a new seafood place. The fish was delicious and fresh, perfectly crunchy and moist, and the chips were great: I ate more of them than I should have. Too good! Very fresh, excellent meal.This brings me to another pet peeve. I saw a review in which the author says the fish was bland and she knows what it should taste like. I know fish, and I know fish joints. Good fish doesn't taste like fish (right?). There are lots of lesser places that put sauces or spices on to move less fresh product.Denville Seafood checks all the boxes for a great seafood experience.
Had the weirdest experience trying to have lunch at Codmother's the other day. We have been here a few times before and always has been pleasant. This time we had family visiting and thought this would be great spot to take them. We walk in and are ignored before a waitress comes over, no greeting and just asks if we have a reservation. Mind you there are TWO other tables in the restaurant. We say no and think it shouldn't be a problem, but basically our presence seems to be annoying her. Then we sit down and she tells us how next time we should make a reservation! I get maybe they can be busy at times, but they weren't... So what her deal was- who knows?! Either way it made us uncomfortable, basicallyfelt unwanted, so we decided to leave. This would have been a good size bill, 5 adults, and a good tip. We like the food here, but unsure if we will be back.
Overall very good quality of food great atmosphere our server Cara although running around like crazy was very attentive which was appreciated! Will definitely be going back. Didn't have dessert cuz we were too full. We had plenty of leftovers.
Absolutely horrible!!! Ordered lobster rolls which were the worst, hardly any lobster on the roll and the rolls were all burnt. Thought I was eating a garden salad with the amount of greens in the sandwich. Would never recommend. Wish i could post a picture.
Waitress was fantastic! Fish was great ! Linguine with clams (6) and scallops (4) was drowning in oil. Not great. Lobster tail was pathetic. 100.00 not the greatest deal .
I wish I could write a review but I have never been able to get in the restaurant. Apparently it is very good since there seems to be a 1 + hour wait all the time. I have gotten fresh fish from the market which was excellent, never been in the restaurant though, and I am a local. `
Went the for the first time. Good food not to big a portion but not to small. Wasn't very busy when I went on Feb 15th. Restaurant is clean and bright. Server was ok. She may have been distracted. I have had better and I have had worse in other places. I plan to go back in the future.
The first person was very respectful , then another look lady came and turned our stomach. Stating that we had no resurrection and basically we just leave. We left.
