First visit here since we retired south 4 years ago. Still just a good as ever. Fresh warm Turkish bread with butter comes out fast. We shared an order of hummous with our cousins. I had the chicken donner, grilled ground chicken and spices on skewers. My wife had a large salad with falafel, cousins had a mixed grill plate and a lamb donner. All fresh and tasty. Very good service. Worth visiting.
I loved everything about this restaurant. From the entrance to the seats, foods, decorations, and everything. You can find a lot of interesting decorative art all around as you're waiting for your food. The food is great and come in big portion. You must order Turkish tea or coffee with the sweets if you want to have a perfect feast.I will definitely go back and have already recommended that restaurant to my friends.
Omg the lamb was so good ? my family and I enjoyed everything. Thank you ?
Really excellent. So delicious and fresh. Went for their three course lunch for $16, excellent value. Got a red lentil soup, a babaganoush w lemon and dill and the stuffed cabbage and it was all fantastic and top quality. Even the bread was fresh and warm. Love love loved it all. Very attentive service. Very pretty and immaculately clean atmosphere too. It's a good thing I don't live close or I'd spend a fortune here :) The ONLY thing I think would suit the place better is if they served olive oil or a good dipping sauce for the bread rather than butter.
Delicious food. The Clifton location has better tasting food with a warm, cozy, sexy vibe. Manager and staff is always friendly and the authentic decor adds to the experience, transporting you to Turkey. Each floor has its own unique decor. The Paterson location is good but doesn’t compare. Clifton is great for lunch or dinner. I’ve had a 10% discount card that’s was given on my first visit 7 years ago. Not many restaurants does that.
I have no idea why they have some positive reviews! I chose this place based on such reviews. The appetizers were okay. The main course (combo kabobs) were made with low quality meats and burnt. Not good at all for spending over $230 for seven people. We went in mid January. The inside of the restaurant was freezing cold. The waiter said that heater had been turned on and would take couple of hours to heat up the restaurant. Did not they know that they would have guests for dinner in the restaurant?! Very strange. Finally, our waitress seemed very angry and impatient; she was ready to yell as us after asking two questions about the menu.
This place is really nice. The Turkish interior design makes it feel you're in Turkey (though I've never been there).Food is really really good. Like it's one of the best Mediterranean food places I've ever been to. Their Shish Kebab is one of the best I've ever had. It's a good place for a date, to hang out and have brunch with friends. I really recommend this place! I had a good time with my friends.
Our last 2 visits weren't the best. Food was cold and service was not good. However, they usually have amazing lentil soup and delicious Turkish custard...but those can be ordered to go, so we won't be dining in anytime soon after our last 2 visits.
I liked the food. Had Adana kebab, Lamb chop, chicken kebab and hummus. Food tasted fresh and cooked well.Service was okish, I felt like they were rushing. Before even finished appetizer they brought the entress. There were different servers coming to our table and asked the same questions. I felt like there were miscommunication between them.Overall experience was good and will definitely go back again.Ahhh their Baklava was good too.
Ideal for supper. Nice interior decoration and amazing Turkish vibes. I had a wonderful day out with my gang. The server's recommendations for the cold appetizer big plate were dreadful. When the party is over 5, please be attentive and take care of the table. We received the impression that the waiter was taking her time with our orders, so we had to satisfy ourselves with bread and butter. We ordered combos, the main course was so delicious. I recommend baklava for dessert. We also drank Turkish coffee, which was really strong. They do have a bar, so no more BYOB. Our favorites were the Tequila Sunrise and the Sea Breeze.
