Very nice place to eat and have a relaxing time. Place is not loud and we didn't encounter any obnoxious people. That can ruin a place for me.Made a reservation, went in and was seated right away. We went on a Thursday night 8pm. Dont know if i needed to make a reservation because it wasn't crazy busy. Our waitress was really nice and checked up on us often. She recommended items for us and always had a nice welcoming smile on her face.Farmhouse style restaurant is nice for pictures if you like to post on social media. It's a little on the dark side for decent pics without a flash. It's like having a candle light dinner which is nice though.Drinks were good and were out quickly. Entrees came out within 15min or so. Eventhough my food was good, I left a little hungry and finished my plate fast lol.The reason I took away 1 star is because it was a little pricey and on my particular dish,(filet mignon) I didn't get enough bang for the buck.Would like to go back again and try some different dishes I had my eye on.

Nice place. Excellent craft cocktails, food is delicious, staff efficient. The restaurant is very interesting with various rooms,

We came for a Sunday brunch. They have a beautiful porch and outdoor tent for private parties. It was an authentic farmhouse at one point and has seven different seating areas with distinct vibe/decor. We sat in a more general dining area near the bar. Service was slow and became a sore point in the brunch experience. It seemed to do more with our server who was cordial but slowwwww. Thankfully the food made up for the service. Hummus platter Cornbread Short rib Eggs Benedict Short rib grilled cheese Cheeseburger The Barrow House has a nice vibe and is worth a visit.

This is one of the most well known and popular restaurants in Clifton, NJ area, unique for it’s farm house style establishment and esthetic interior. We gave it try on a Sunday evening, and were lucky to a table w/o reservation, it was packed in there. They have a decent menu with good variety of items. We liked the deviled eggs, Mac & cheese from starters. But in entrees, it was disappointing. Pasta was okay, but Po’boy was needs some improvement. The bread was too big and thick, toasted w/o any flavor like butter or such. The shrimp was fried too, which kinda made the combo worse.Despite the food, I throughly enjoyed their interior. The people at the front and serving, all were kind and friendly to us.

So I almost gave this amazing establishment 5 starsThe only reason why I didn’t give it a full five stars is not because I did not enjoy the food. Food was amazing!Pizza was great (meat lovers). A little too greasy but I don’t mind folding my pizza and draining it off…We got some chicken fingers as appetizers! Guess what?! Ranch and honey is an amazing combination. If I had more room I would have eaten the short rib grilled cheese but there is a bottom to my stomach after all. What took away from the 5 stars and what may help me revise my review to 5 stars later was the service. Not goodAlmost decentJust needed a little more attentiveness. Just a bit more.Maybe they were busy… all good. Would 100% come backI’ll see you soon short rib grilled cheese sandwich!

Jaybynight is a really good Passaic County mixologist. Izzy is also a really nice and personable bartender/mixologist. Food was ok but drinks were better. Average prices. Churros were da bomb ? Will be back to try more craft cocktails and other menu options. Cool atmosphere/vibes. Place could use a tv @ the bar but we didn't miss that too much.

A huge thank you to Melissa Ortez and the entire staff at The Barrow House for hosting our wedding reception cocktail-hour followed by a three course plated dinner in the Barn. They completely blew us away with their attention to detail, level of expertise, professionalism, service and day-of dining experience. Not only was the food delicious, it was stunningly presented and our guests raved!.. especially over unique offerings like their grilled-cheese shooters and NY Strip steak! The drink options were diverse and top shelf, ranging from a robust selection of local craft beers on tap to the Barrow’s handcrafted specialty cocktails. The Barrows’s bar specialist, Jess, helped us select two wine pairings to compliment our menu options. The staff was upbeat, polite and attentive in a way that felt like family! Throughout the many months leading up to the event, Melissa was calm, prepared and warm in her communication. She made vendor recommendations, floor-plan suggestions and tasting appointments. Melissa and the staff accommodated us a day ahead to drop off boxes of decor and supplies, including an 8ft backdrop for our florist. We can’t wait to visit again and again, bringing friends and family back with us to enjoy the drinks, food and rustic atmosphere. We highly recommended The Barrow House for your micro-wedding or any event!Love, Elizabeth and MarkVendor credits:Photographer: @DawnPointStudiosHair+Makeup: Elena at @BridalSquad_proFlorist: Kait at @Cut1FloralCake: @RudyspastryshopBand: Jay @owlslionsDress: @CircaBridalBoutiqueFur wrap and alterations: @DavidsBridal Transportation: @bbzlimoGrooms custom suit: @indochinoweddings Ties: @MenswearhouseRings: @eliadamsjewel

Fabulous experience! From the moment we were seated, the warm quaint feeling and experience of this establishment has us in anticipation of our next future visit! The atmosphere is an awesome warm feeling of being at a lodge in the colonial times. Our waiter Brandon was excellent and a Craftsman at his trade. The food was top-notch including the entrees and desserts! We will definitely be back and it is worthy of all five stars!

Fabulous environment, experience and food. The place has great old school ambience with many tables and rooms. It's spacious inside and can host a separate group of people too.Drinks- They have amazing cocktails as well as beer selections.Appetizers- We tried corn bread and shishito peppers and both were super delicious.Entre- Being vegetarian I ordered cauliflower tacos and my husband ordered salmon. Both were good. Cauliflower tacos were little dry for my taste but quantity was sufficient.Highly recommend this place for date nights, birthdays. Friends gathering etc.

This country, rustic bar/restaurant is so warm and welcoming. Its unique decor invites you get comfortable, and the staff is so friendly and polite that you want to stay a while.... the specialty drinks were delicious as were the appetizers we had at the bar. Looking forward to a next visit that will definitely include dinner.
