I’ve known Angelo since he opened his store. He has got fresh food and he’s very friendly. You won’t be disappointed!
Placed an order for 1 pizza on Grubhub. Their end of delivery time showed as 9:45, I ordered just after 9pm. They sent the notification that they received the order and it would arrive within 40-50 minutes between 10 and 10:10pm. After waiting over an hour and missing the estimated delivery time, I called the restaurant to check the status. Turns out they are a pizza shop that closes at 10pm on a Saturday night. Rather than contacting me when I placed the order to say they would not, or could not fulfill the order, they just took my money and didn't deliver my order. Now most restaurants in the area are closed when I could've ordered elsewhere had I been given notice.Update: they delivered it about 50 minutes later. It was cold of course. After we heated it up, the pizza was actually very tasty. Like it was worth the wait. I would consider ordering from here again. Just not late Saturday night. They should just contact customers to say they'll be delayed due to orders, or traffic, or whatever. It's much more understandable than no communication at all and would prevent confusion.
The food is great the I wish the owner had better people skills. We have ordered so much catering from him and we tip the delivery guy so well even though we are only 2 minute drive. When my husband goes for a single order and asks for a pizza box he charges $1 extra. It’s not about the $1 but it’s about all business we give him. I love the food but whenever I go to pick it up he is always so grumpy, it makes the food distasteful. I won’t be returning there. I tried to make conversation with him but he is very unapproachable and I hate ordering from there just because I have to deal with his coldness.
RUDE - wow. The deliver guy (from their store) got really confrontational that our doorbell was broken. My ordering instructions say to leave food at door because of this. Then when I called to complain the guy who picked up said I have to speak to the manager, wouldn't tell me the name of the driver, and hung up on me. What the heck - I really try to support my local businesses but what's up with being so incredibly mean?
Best grandma pie in the entire tri-state!! I've left reviews for MANY pizzerias... Angelo's, by far, makes THE BEST grandma pie of any I've ever tried. Even if grandma isn't your thing, all his other pizzas are equally delicious... You're guaranteed to have a great experience!
Amazing authentic flavor with fresh ingredients and the portions are incredible large.Friendly staff and fast service.Nothing negative to say.
Highly recommend to order one of of their burgers. I was very impressed knowing their specialty is pizza and Italian dinners. The buns are homemade and light. I also love my calzones and hands down the best as we. Fully stuffed with the ham and cheeses. Love it!
Hands down the best Italian take out/ delivery food available in Clifton. The panini ala Angelo is amazing. Their entrees are delicious too. The side of sausage has the most flavorful marinara sauce. Try it today. You won’t be disappointed! 5 stars and fast and courteous delivery service. Love Angelos !
Got catering orders a few times the last year or so and food was fantastic. Ready on time and hot in the trays. Hooked me up with the fuel for the sterno racks too. They threw in some extra food too. Rave reviews for the eggplant parm, cavatelli and broccoli and the chicken francese. House salad is one of the best around. No joke. A go to when we want regular take out as well. Panini sandwiches...can't go wrong. Gluten free pizza highly rated too. Good selection of slices if you wanna grab one for yourself while on the go, too.
Angelo's is very clean.Their food is really worth the trip, or delivery. There are just a few tables.Staff is very nice.
