I ordered deep sea scallops for $23.99 and I must've had maybe two sea scallops and the rest was bay scallops. The waitress was nice and I don't blame her. I blame the owner of this diner. I will not be going back and I will let people know about this experience.
Good Food, awesome prices & generous servings. Staff are very friendly & polite. My 1st time here & we'll be back ??
My 1st and only time here. Stopped while traveling. Not to be rude, I had an African American thin waitress ----one of the best waitresses I ever had anywhere !This girl was genuinely a nice lady, knew her stuff, forgot nothing, held trays weighing more than her.I had to write on the receipt as well as tip good how amazing she was.
Worst place ever!!!! Don’t go here!!! My husband and his family went to this diner all his childhood. So we decided to go and bring back old memories! Walked in, the greeter didn’t even say good morning, nothing! Sat down, looked at the menu, figured out what we wanted to eat, the waiter came over and asked what we wanted. We ordered coffee to start. The coffee just didn’t taste right, come to find out, there was soap or something in the pot, when the waiter came over to refill, the coffee pot was completely filled with bubbles!! Decided to wait for the food, food came out and looked really good! Well, my creamed chipped beef was completely cold, when the waiter came over, my husband told her, she apologized and took my plate. A couple minutes later she came back out with the same exact plate, no idea what they didn’t cause it still wasn’t hot! My husband was enjoying his food until he had hair on his plate under his food, not just 1 single hair, a few strains of hair! He jumped up and went outside and threw up! I tried to find the manager, he’s no where to be found, he’s actually the greeter who didn’t even say good morning! No one apologized!! Beware!!!
Went to this diner first time recently as it was a convenient mid-way spot for friends visiting Phila. Food, prices and portions were good as was service. Tables were a bit worn in spots. We were a party of 5. When hubby went up to pay he realized that the gratutity had already been added on which was a surprise. Thankfully he realized before tipping double on top of this. Sad thing is he would have given a better tip if they had left things up to us. I have heard of this for large groups but not a group of 5. I have not had this happen at any other local diners or restaurants we have visited. I think customers should be verbally informed of this. Unfortunately for the diner we will not be back due to this and would not recommend.
1st impression when walking in was typical diner and was expecting the food to be same. We were seated at a table where each of the chairs...and table were uneven and rocked. The table was dirty...sugar on table and sticky. Placed order. Salad arrived 1st. Cucumbers were definitely old and cherry tomatoes were shriveled. I asked for Italian dressing and was brought something that was not Italian. The dinner rolls were individually wrapped and microwaved to be warm so they were hard as a rock. I ordered grilled chicken that was soooooo dry I almost choked. I asked for some gravy and was brought this gelatinous gravy that was cold. I also ordered a baked potato that you could tell it was microwaved because it fell apart when cutting it. My side vegetable was pickled beets. Tasted one and immediately spit it out...they were bad. The silverware and plates were not clean. This was my 1st and only time I will ever step foot into this place again. This place should definitely be a place to avoid.
Food was good, especially for the price. Low key, quite, clean. Staff was super nice!
Only giving 2 stars because our waitress Lisa was a sweetheart. But the food was awful. My sons spaghetti looked like it came out of a can. The marinara sauce tasted sour like it was weeks old. And the fries tasted old. Inside was a little run down.
Always an excellent experience here... Lisa was exceptionally fantastic....
The Cherry Hill Diner is a classic. Serving patrons at this location for more than 30 years. The food is classic americana served in an authentic style diner car, rather than the imitation one just up the street.Parking is abundant, just behind the restaurant with a convenient and warm waiting area, in the off chance of a wait.
