My wifeâs 68th birthday and serenaded by the âyoung manâ with the accordion. Happy Birthday and Return to Sorento were the selections. Always a special dinner. Thatâs why we booked it for this momentous occasion.
I was looking forward to this restaurant, because I had eaten at Cafe Aldo Lamberdi years ago and it was excellent; I have long wanted to return. After eating at a plethora of mediocre restaurants recently, I decided I needed a bit of excellence. Sadly, I was disappointed. My papadalle with short rib did not have the expected shredded beef, but rather a ground beef, and the sauce was surprisingly bland. It tasted like a can of Beeforoni. My daughter did not finish even half of her Chicken Maximo, pronouncing it tasteless. Much better was my husband's dish, the fish of the day (grouper). Service was a bit slow, which would have been forgiven if the (VERY pricey) meal had been satisfying. Not worth it.

Very noisy place. Food was good. Cost 200.00 with tip. No liquor. Is this the cost of going out for dinner? Makes the Chinese buffet for 45.00 even better.
