Set your expectations, this is not char steakhouse. 5 stars looking at it through the lens of someone who has young kids and they like playgrounds, burgers, fries and ice cream. The playground is priced into the food. Expensive. If you don’t have kids at the right age to use the playground, this place is more like a 4 or even 3. In other reviews, people expect a burger they would get at char steakhouse because for some reason the char brand is included in the name of this place, so expectations are off by people who are seeking out a good burger joint. It should be named “kids smash burger with playground and ice cream” and then people would get it and it would get better reviews. The Hot dog, Fries and ice cream were all better than expected. The kids burger is perfect for a child. My chicken sandwich was bad. My photo would make you believe it was crispy. It was neither crispy nor spicy. Tenders were pretty bad. Stick to burgers fries and ice cream and your kids (and you) won’t be disappointed.
The meal I consumed at this location was beyond description. I loved every bit of the delectable meal I shared with my biological brother, and therefore will come again when the time is due. Although it is a bit on the pricey side, I would most certainly say that it is indeed worth your money. Lastly, the customer service is second to none. As I quietly ate my meal, I could see every worker doing there job with utmost care and compassion. I will most definitely come again to this establishment when hunger befalls me, and will eat a most fulfilling meal once again.
Ordered a cheeseburger and a cheese dog. I have been here several times. The burgers are fairly good. It tastes kind of bland. It was cooked well and served hot as it is freshly prepared made to order. I asked for extra pickles as the flavor is just lacking. When they first opened the quality and taste of the burger was very good. Lately the texture and taste of the meat is not great. The cheese dog was average. The service was fast, no line. The workers were average, fairly polite. They oddly don't cook the burgers as you like meaning medium, well done, etc. They cook them all the same.
Absolutely horrible service and quality. Listened to the girl behind the counter ignore people waiting to pick up their order. She was talking to other workers about how she wants cute guys to work there. The burger I ordered was not done as requested. What I got was the smallest tomatoes possible and half a leaf of lettuce. For $10 for a burger maybe some more effort should be put into it!! Called to talk to the manager and no way to talk to anyone. This place should close!!
Delicious and fresh burgers. The fries are so good. We also tried their shakes, wow incredibly delicious. You have to try this place. They also have a playground for children and some outdoor seating. If you don't want to eat inside this summer, you can enjoy the outdoor seating. Definitely recommend it.
Nice place to stop by and grab a quick bite. I suggest get a double on your burger. The staff moves pretty quick to get you le order done. Parking is never a problem and the side playground is a plus for the parents with children. I recommend this place to everyone! :)
The shakes are real milkshakes, they have some nice thickness to them, but expect to pay for that quality. Service was good and fast. Prices are higher than you might expect for a burger and shake joint, but you saw Char in the name so you could've expected that. And I mean, the building is large and beautiful. I'm hoping they get to the point where more people catch on and they can get enough volume to lower the cost of a few items. This won't be a place we frequent, but we don't frequent anywhere because we are cheapos. They did accept my coupon, even though I think it was expired. For that, I'm more willing to go back without a coupon, because the food was good enough and it'd be nice to see some more competition in this food market. Location is not bad, but man, if there's one thing I think actually hurts them, it's having Char attached to the name. Don't get me wrong, Char is a fine place to have a good steak, but I think a lot of people in this area view it as a bit overpriced, and I worry that bias my carry to this venture, but what the hell do I know.
This was our first visit. I had high expectations based upon the fancy Char restaurant down the street, but it was nowhere near that quality. The menu is quite limited and I assumed that the burgers would be very thick and juicy and that I would be able to request medium rare, but I think there are laws about that. So the burger is actually very thin and smashed. It is still tasty but it is greasy and salty. It is counter service and they call your name when your order is done. It is not fast food so it is cooked to order which is actually a good thing so it took a little bit longer than I was expecting. Once I got my order though it was actually incorrect. They did fix it and offered to credit some money but my husband just said to give us another order of fries. The french fries are actually pretty good. Everything comes in one size except you can get a second patty to make a double out of any of the burgers. I had the onion burger. Gentlemen asked me if I wanted lettuce and tomato and I said sure on the lettuce, only to find out later that it was an extra $0.25. The shakes are really good. I had a s’mores shake. They have great colorful large plastic straws that change color based on temperature. They also have long spoons for your shake that again change color with the temperature! I think this was my favorite part, lol. The decor is particularly attractive and then I realized it was actually a PNC Bank before and they even still had that small conference room to the side. But having all glass walls was really pretty. They should add some weatherstripping to the inner doors because the cold air was really coming in even though there is a vestibule. I think once I lowered my expectations from the Char name, it was pretty good. Oh and $5 off coupon really helped from my coupon mailed as it is a bit pricey for a burger place. They did also have 2 salads and chicken on the menu.
Great burgers (get the double, guys). Great for families with kids. They have a play area outside, outdoor seating, and even a covered/heated area. This place is perfect for the COVID conscious burger lover.
One of the better burgers I have had in some time. I was doubtful but I could not have been more wrong. As someone who love and craves a good burger I have a new go to. Highly recommended!
