Had a beyond amazing experience at Popolari! We saw some stuff that people had posted on instagram that wasn’t on the menu and the owner, Mido, was so kind enough to put in what we saw. He came over and sat down and had a nice conversation with us. We ordered the fried burrata, the charcuterie board, margherita pizza, the spicy rigatoni, and the pesto gnocchi. We were so full that we didn’t even get to try the zeppole fondue (we will just have to come back!). Our server, Amir, was so sweet and went out of his way to make sure everything was great. Can’t say enough kind words about Amir, Mido and just the place in general. Highly recommend!!!!
Tremendous culinary destination! Delicious food, friendly and cozy atmosphere. The staff are extremely attentive. Overall 5 stars from me! Can’t wait to go back. It’s the kind of place that you want to try everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed! ??
Our waiter last night was great!I would recommend trying to book to reservation as my party came a week before and were told we couldn’t be seated despite some empty tables.For food, we ordered these apps (calamari and garlic shrimp with bread). Some pieces if shrimp were butterflied while others were not. I found this odd. The garlic sauce was doused in wine so it wasn’t the best balanced dish. The calamari was light, crispy and served with red sauce.For entrees, the branzino dish was great. It comes with broccoli and mash. The onion sauce on the top of the fish had the perfect acidity and paired well with the fish. Others had the Margherita pizza and the spicy rigatoni with breaded chicken. Those are both super solid dishes if you end up coming here. Super tasty!Beware, the menus have a different price than what is charged. We weren’t told until we asked when the bill came and surprised certain items were marked differently.I would recommend stopping by for a dinner in the weekday or lunch!
this restaurant is awesome! They have such good service. The staff is so hospitable and makes me feel like i am at my home! The food is absolutely delicious and i give my compliments to the master chef floyd! The owner was there and present and checked on us several times. There was a warm and friendly environment and it was just an awesome experience!
A lot of food and drinks were unavailable. Cauliflower was supposed to come with Tahini sauce. They didn't tell us they were out when they put the food down. I would have ordered something else. Cauliflower was dry and burned. Lamb pops were cold & under cooked. This was not worth the expensive prices. Service was poor.
The ambiance, the music, and of course the Food! Fresh and well made using only the best ingredients. Enjoyed a night out with the family and we tried the pizza, the calamari, the roasted cauliflower and 4 of the pasta dishes - every dish was delicious. The handmade pasta was such a pleasure - took the Italian dining experience to a new level. The vibe is artsy and fun - the chef and the owner are very hands on and both came to check on us to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our dishes.What a gem this place is. Can't wait to come back!
The penne vodka was one of the best I’ve ever had!
Overall a decent place. The Popolari pizza was very good and the highlight of the meal. I would skip the the spicy vodka.
The dinner was absolutely delicious! The food was so simple yet so much flavor. The atmosphere was nice too with its lovely design, and friendly staff. 10/10
