We drove all the way from South Jersey to Holsten in North Jersey to see in person where the last scene in the Sopranos was shot. We were so excited to sit in the booth where they sat but it was occupied So we waited patiently and ordered the famous onion rings, tuna salad sandwich and a sundae. The onion rings were left a little too long in the deep fryer and was burnt. The sandwich was great but we finished our meal and we were still waiting for the sundae. I reminded our server and instead of apologizing, he said," I got you." He then proceeded to make the sundae. He served it and still no apology. I love the history of the place and a must to visit for the Sopranos fan. I would come back for the nostalgia.

My friends put together a sopranos tour. Lucky for us we got the booth they sat at. Above all this, all members of the party commented the food was awesome. Fresh burgers, krinkle fries, and the onion rings. It was also much cheaper then we thought it would be. Waitress was really nice and took a pic for us!!!!!

Agree with other reviews that this place is a step back in time. We grabbed a table at a booth and had burgers for lunch. We are Sopranos fans (the whole reason we came) so of course we ordered onion rings and I took my share of pictures. The staff that was there the day we went were a good sport about the Sopranos connection. I ended up buying a mug and they gave free stickers after I asked about them. And the onion rings were good! They have a lot of ice cream and related desserts but we were too full. :)

Delicious, creamy ice cream. The maple walnut was bursting with flavor and the cherry vanilla was loaded with large cherries. It was a nice old school confection shop with a counter and luncheonette serving burgers and sandwiches.

We had a great experience today at Holsten’s and much of it was based on realistic expectations. This is an ice cream shop / candy store / diner. Walking in feels very much like stepping back in time a bit and if you embrace that sort of experience (as we do) you’ll love it. Burger, onion rings (of course), and an ice cream were on point. The Sopranos connection was very cool for me - my teenage son has never seen the show but was fascinated when I showed him the scene. Well done - please don’t change a thing.

If you are visiting New Jersey don’t miss going to Holsten’s Ice Cream Parlour. It’s the place where Sopranos’ last scene was shot so it’s worth going there. Food is great. Ice cream soda is my favourite. Plenty of chocolate choices as well.

Ordered $50 0f candy. Never received order. Store would not track down from their end. did not issue refund. 50 dollars down the tube. Holstens, thanks for nothing.

Best food and ice cream, great service.

Family owned traditional ice cream parlor with A+ food~ great onion rings and malted shakes!

Best hamburgers in North Jersey! Old fashioned luncheonette-type setting, great menu, homemade candy counter, homemade ice cream including unusual and delicious flavors. The last episode of The Soprano's was filmed on site here but the big attraction is the entire Holsten's experience. Prices are unbelievably fair too...❤❤❤
