Delicious food. Went yesterday and they were so accommodating. The husband helped me to my car because I had a large order. Very large portions for the price. Everything tasted fresh & authentic. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Danielle's restaurant is excellent all across the board!1). Customer Service: Danielle and her husband Nico are the owners and they're both very personable and kind. They modify meals when there are allergy concerns and show no frustration when doing so. I've watched Nico literally step out of the restaurant to assist customers to their car when they have a large order. Danielle has left the kitchen to come to the front of the restaurant to assist me in selecting a menu when I had them host a luncheon at my job which everyone looooved.2). Food: The food is fresh, plentiful and you will not find any other Haitian restaurant that gives portions this size. The food is satisfying and there's often leftovers (let's be realistic some portions will be more than others like any other restaurant. EX: you'll get more chicken than goat or more pork than shrimp).3). Small business: This is a family owned business which I happily frequent. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. I know I'll always get a home cooked meal and enter a pleasant environment every time I go pick up my food. They greet me by name and make me feel like family. I happily support this small business and never disappointed with my food.4). Price: Good luck finding fresh, quality Haitian food with these prices anywhere else...you won't. Danielle's prices are fair, the portions are more than adequate and most importantly the food is delicious!5). Wait time: This is not your typical Haitian restaurant. You won't have to wait an eternity for your meal. They give you an estimated time and when you arrive to pick up your food it's neatly placed in a brown bag with plenty of napkins and sturdy eating utensils.Go for it and order, I guarantee you won't be disappointed! I order various combos at least twice a week.
Just got my food literally 20 minutes ago (pre order earlier in the day) and everybody in the house right now is quiet just chewing and asking for more . This is exactly what I was looking for . Being a Zoe and looking for authentic Haitian restaurant within Brookdale and Montclair area that doesn’t purposely shuns it’s own Haitian ppl like that other restaurant in Montclair that will remain nameless. Danielle you got a repeat customer. Food is excellent, delicious and reminds me of all the Haitian parties I went to through out my life time and thank you for the extras. You definitely hooked me up today and I will be ordering again in the near future
I try to go here once a month. Danielle's is one of the best things to have come to Silver Lake. The food portions are plentiful and the food is really good. You truly get what you pay for. Additionally, the owners are also super nice and super friendly. I've been going here since they first opened and am glad to be a regular.Personally, I recommend their Jerk Chicken combo and their Fritay platters!
Ok so it’s Easter Sunday and Hubby and I were looking for a place to eat. He mentioned there is a new Haitian restaurant that seems to be getting a lot of hype let’s check it out. So I said ok let’s do it! Let’s say I do not regret coming here! Omg everything is so TASTY and FRESH tasting. The portion size is generous for the price. They even give you sides with your meal. Customer service is key and they are AMAZING at that. Compared to other restaurants the reps have an attitude and make you feel like your bothering them for ordering food at their store lol. The wait time wasn’t long at all literally in and out. Hope they don’t change. Also if it’s your first time their address is in Bloomfield across from Stop&Shop. The GPS took us to Belleville literally down the street from them. We spoke to a guy who I believe is the owner, and he told us to put in Danielle’s Haitian Restaurant instead of the address. Overall we are definitely coming back!
This was my first time trying Haitian food and trust me they delivered!!!! The food is tasty & the portions are huge . I got Griot, Djon Djon, Plantains, A fish patty & Pikliz. They also sent me a side salad. Broccoli & potatoes with sauce . The food is also very fresh . I definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody . They did not disappoint. I’ll be back
I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! First I’d like to say how accommodating they are! I’m vegan and have been craving Haitian food for months now! I googled vegan Haitian food and this place popped up! I called and spoke to the owner to get specific details and was told she could make me vegan versions of the black rice and lalo! I took the hour drive to excitedly pick up my order and they both were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! No other Haitian restaurant that I called would make such accommodations and I was so very impressed! The owners were friendly and very helpful and even helped bringing my food to my vehicle! I’ll be a forever customer for sure! Please check them out you won’t be disappointed!
The food here is amazing! There vegetarian dishes are incredible. The service is very professional. The space is clean and well maintained! This place makes me incredibly proud to be Haitian. I highly recommend Danielle’s!
This is my second time ordering from this restaraunt, my second time being a catering order today & the entire experience was smooth! My husband & I have catered MANY times, personal chef deliveries you name it & the way Danielle’s prepared & package our food with care & detail has been top notch, taste is also top notch. I Never met Danielle but her husband was so respectful and lovely & we will most definitely be regular customers! Happy to have a restaraunt close to Clifton & Montclair such easy access!.
First of all, I’ve been ordering Haitian food from everywhere for a while and this by far is one of the top if not thee absolute best! The food is clean, tasty, and well-portioned. Also, the customer service is AMAZING which is very rare. I tried to take a picture of the platter I ordered, but as you can tell my family started digging in quickly) bon bagay!
