I absolutely LOVE this place! I was here yesterday to celebrate my graduation. Lee and Evan were my bartenders and they were A-Ma-Zing! AC is out in my building so my fiancé and I walked over for some relief. Our bartender, Brett, was ???! He concocted the mixed drink in the photo. Jamie, the manager, is warm and takes an “all hands on” approach to managing. I have found my new local watering hole. Food is also amazing. The pizzas are a must try!!!
I was curious about Detroit style pizza and had an occassion to visit nearby area, so visited this place on the way back.The place was a lot more spacious than I thought and it was quite chilling there for lunch time. I suppose it gets lot more packed during dinner and late night.Pizza wasn’t phenomenal but def enjoyable. What’s unique about the pizza here (or might be in general for Detroit style) is that it was really fluffy so felt quite less dense and filling, compared to other deep dish pizza or sicilian. And sicillian pizza sometime just feels like thick bread with cheese on it, doesn’t feel like a complete menu “pizza” as a whole. Pizza here didn’t have that problem. Bottom and sides of the pizza were very crispy.Minus one star is more related to my personal taste. Somehow the sauce on the top of pizza felt bit sour. I don’t think that there was any issue with the sauce, just think that it’s their style, which simply wasn’t the hit for my tongue.IPA i tried was just mediocre.Might try coming here again to try other pizza menu, and see if I find it liking better than what I already tried.
I’ve had better food in Bloomfield And it’s so dark food was not warm I had pasta and nothing to rave about, had to wait long for the check and it had to be corrected. Good luck I won’t be back!
Trendy little spot for some excellent Pizza, Tasty Small Plates, and Fun Cocktails..! There is also a small Speakasy type Lounge attached.Service staff are very friendly and helpful.
Delicious. Banana peppers and pepperoni deep dish pizzas are deliciousThey also have Coca-Cola wings which are actually not as good as you would think they areBut that pizza was really good and the burgers were delicious specifically one called “the Burger”

I have been to Blue Steel a few times. Always delicious. It is too dark in the restaurant. I understand they may want to put forth a certain atmosphere. We had a hard time scanning the code to get the menu on our phones. Pizza is always delicious.

Went to check out the speak easy with my husband. You must have a reservation, they are very strict about that, we had reservations. You walk through the lively two level restaurant and upstairs. There is a secret door which leads to the speak easy. Cool vibe, several different seating options. Tables for two or 4, bar seating or couches. We had a few cocktails which were good but the service was very slow. I try not to complain about that these days since most places are short staffed. We had the Detroit style pizza and the meatballs. Both were very good! Would go back again for a casual dinner to try other meals and cocktails. The speakeasy was quieter than the restaurant seating in the main dining room. Could be a fun place for a group.
