Giovanni is the heart and soul of this place, and every employee is super friendly! (You've heard of "Minnesota Nice"? These guys are "BAYONNE NICE" The fresh mozzarella speaks for itself. Close your eyes and you're in Naples eating fresh mozzarella with the milk running down your arm! Yep! It's THAT good/ authentic!
I've lived in Bayonne for nearly 11 years now and I just discovered this place... man have I been missing out. This place is as amazing as everyone says - but don't just read about.. you've got to experience it.You walk into this wonderful old school shop. Not only are there sandwiches, but the hot food is excellent. I took my time looking around; the smell of the place and and the nods of the people waiting in line confirmed that I was in a great spot.I finally decided to get a Shrimp Parm hero, some crabcakes, an order of their tiramisu and some cooked octopus. The Shrimp Parm was perfectly seasoned, properly done and also monstrous. I started eating it and before I knew it - it was gone! The crabcakes were soo nice that somehow 2 of them were eaten before I got home. The octopus is yummy and the tiramisu will be wonderful dessert later.Listen - stop reading - go there! Go get something homemade and delicious to eat. I swear you will be coming back.. I know I will!
Quickly became one of my favorite spots. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in, and the quality of the food does not compare to others. We were offered samples of the cold cuts as we waited for our sandwiches too. I’d highly recommend to anyone.
I should’ve wrote this review months ago. But I love this place. And I love Giovanni himself. What a guy, what a place.He could tell I was undecided, so he gave me a fat piece of fresh, salted mozzarella while I mulled over my choice. Still undecided, he cut a piece of hot chicken cutlet, wrapped it in soppressata, and handed that to me. That sold me.Chicken cutlet sandwich with hot soppressata, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and balsamic. Dynamite sandwich! Every component was truly delicious. Tons of flavors and textures working harmoniously together on an awesome roll, brought in fresh daily from Brooklyn. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere nearby.
I had the honor of meeting Giovanni and from the moment I walked in I felt taken cared of. The ingredients are fresh and quality and the hospitality is amaziiing! As someone who've been to Italy before, thank you for sharing the BEST mozzarella I've ever tasted!

Sandwich was amazing honestly probably the best sandwich I've had but it definitely is because of the fresh mozzarella I had him bag me a lb to take home and wound up eating half of it like an apple in the car it's delicious and worth a trip from anywhere and the customer service is amazing
BEST SANDWICH SHOP EVER!We recently moved to Bayonne and my husband, mom and I can’t believe how amazing this place is.Giovanny has been there every time and each visit is always such a pleasure!
