This place is amazing. No walk ins though and if you make a reservation you'll see why. Food is outstanding!! Jp is cool af too ! Can't wait to go back

Amazing home cooked food. Don't expect your run of the mill boujie restaurant inside, far from it, but the food 5 star. Worth the hour long drive and I will definitely be going back. The owner and her son are just so sweet. Its like your going to dinner at families house. The portions are HUGE keep that in mind as well. Pricey thats for sure as well but again worth the quality. We weren't rushed out either which is nice for a change. Call ahead for your reservation, the owner will then send you a copy of the menu and 2 weeks before your reservation you call in your order because everything is cooked fresh that day. Enjoy!

I walked 5 miles from Jersey City to check out Angelina's. It was a cold Monday night (4/4/2022); I can't imagine they were that busy. According to Google (maps) they are open on Mondays until 10:30 pm. I arrived promptly at 8 pm and the door was locked. I called and was somewhat rudely informed, "We're not open unless you have reservations or pick-up. It's too late for dine-in." Angelina's does not have a website. My expectation is that restaurants who require reservations have websites directing diners to their phone number (or online reservation system) and highlighting the need for such reservations. Angelina's does not. Sorry Angelina, you get one star for being lazy and cheap (no website), for being rude and for being utterly disrespectful of my time. Please update your hours on your Google profile.

Been waiting to try Angelina’s for a while. Finally made it here!!First you have to call and make reservations months in advance due to their popularity. You also have to order your food weeks prior. We walked in and were greeted by JonPaul. Only 5 tables but they have staggered seating due to the food being cooked fresh. Ms. Angelina cooks everything herself. The restaurant looks like we stepped into a Quentin Tarantino movie. You have to see it in person to know what I mean. Freaking awesome!!Blue sangria!!We ordered the Tomato and mozzarella salad and Stuffed artichoke. Both were equally delicious. Very large portions. The artichoke was huge!!Escarole and bean soup was very, very good!!We ordered the Veal Parmesan , Chicken Parmesan , shrimp scampi and broccoli rabe with sausage pasta. Not realizing how big these portions are.. we left with half the food. Both parmesans were tender, flavorful and had a nice crisp to the outside.Shrimp scampi was delicious, lots of shrimp and had a great scampi sauce.Broccoli rabe and sausage pasta was excellent.Tiramisu cake and fresh cannoli with espresso to end the evening.Food was absolutely amazing!!!Service was fantastic!!Definitely an experience!

I wish had something better to say but I don’t , coming from a small business owner it kills me to leave this review. I called Angelina’s‘s last week to confirm my reservation with her and to put my food order in. We talked for about 15 minutes. Everything was taken care of so I thought. Today I had a funny feeling that I should call and confirm again and I did Angelina’s told me multiple times that I never gave her my food order. Now I know mistakes can happen and you get a little overwhelmed but the way she treated me on our last phone call was unbelievable for a business owner I guess when you have been in business for over 47 years you could care less how you treat people. I know for a fact that I gave her my food order and she confirmed it with me this could’ve been easily resolved if she was just able to say listen I lost the food order instead of accusing me multiple times that I did not give it to her. Then we got past that and I started to give her my food or a girl and I asked for some suggestions again she couldn’t be bothered to help. So I told everyone make sure you confirm your reservation with them because they are unbelievably bad with keeping them.

was in the area visiting family and dined here, the food was incredible and the portions generous! décor might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's homely, Angelina came across as a decent and down to earth person and her son was a swell fella, real nice guy! I'd go again if i was visiting Bayonne again

This place is a breathtaking! The food is delicious and the owner very passionate about her business. You must call and place an order before you get to the restaurant she will send you the menu just to avoid delays when u get there. You will have a great experience as “having a family meal at your moms living room! Go check it out! Great place and don’t forget to order her corn soup ?

So, I just went to this place last night with a friend and her family and they spoke so highly about this place that I was excited. Sounded like very authentic Italian food. We walked in and it felt like I was stepping back in time to my grandmas living room. The atmosphere may be odd to some, but if you grew up in an Italian American household, it will feel like home. The woman there is the only cook, she cooks everything herself, and the son helps and brings the food out. Both are very sweet. I ordered rigatoni with meatballs and it was delicious, but the woman came out at one point and said “oh my god I tasted the pasta, I didn’t put enough salt”, I said please no, it’s so delicious I promise you. But that’s the stuff I appreciate, a chef who knows what she’s doing, that she will stop everything and come out and make that comment. That’s the authenticity that I search for that I can not find usually when I’m in an Italian restaurant. A friend ordered a steak and it was huge, I was upset I didn’t get that because it looked like the best steak ever. The eggplant parmigiana was phenomenal. Had some blue sangria and it was strong and delicious. I can’t think of a single complaint. I’m not sure how this place was before Covid, but I think it’s more low key now with Covid. We had to place our order before hand. But when we got there, the food was just about ready to come out. She bakes her own bread!!! This place screams Italian Nonna. Try your best to come to this place. I for sure will be back. This place is a gem and I hope she keeps this place for many more years to come. Best wishes to her and her family.

Great food great people

I called as my son & I took a trip to Bayonne & I heard about her amazing place…Angelina answered herself & she told me you have to call way in advance, which I didn’t know. She asked me how many & it was just my son & I. She said she could squeeze us in, and we had the most amazing dinner ever, just the 2 of us conversing & sharing with Angelina all night. What a wonderful woman; sweet, hospitable, the best penne vodka ever! And just a beautiful, graceful person. I felt like I was visiting a family member, what an experience! Will definitely be back!! ?
