This place is awesome! Their food is excellent. Being from Minnesota I try to search out local businesses and food when traveling. I was excited to try "The Afty" didn't know what to expect. They greatly exceeded my expectations. Just be aware the prices are deceiving in a great way, way more food than I expected! Ordered some empanadas, they were excellent, along with a catfish sandwich which was excellent and a crab cake grilled cheese which no words can describe! But once again be careful lol. The portions are much bigger than expected, great value. For $40 you can easily feed 4 people. The catfish sandwich was an entire fillet, not a tiny little piece of fish. Got to talk to the couple that are the owners, great people, with a great small business. Glad I found them. Next time I'm in AC, I will most definitely be back!
Do not place an order from this restaurant.After waiting an hour, I called the restaurant twice to ask what was happening.Lady told me that the delivery guy didn't leave the restaurant. She hung up on me in the middle of the conversation too. She was rude.After 90 minutes, finally, the delivery guy came with food.The Food was good, but I will never make an order from this restaurant.
Exceptional local food place owned by locals ran by locals late night orders last call for food is at 3:30 a.m. all types of classics from cheesesteaks and burgers to the famous seafood fries black owned business come check them out they have something for everybody seafood quesadillas chicken gets his salmon bites empanadas catfish nuggets candy produce pantry goods and also household supplies such as laundry detergent air fresheners and very supplies for your house open during the pandemic so let's help them continue to do good
Just order it. Order it all. It was the bomb!I went up to Atlantic City to celebrate my husband's birthday. While there, we quickly realized the restaurants were overpriced for what they were serving. So we started looking around and found the afty. I thought it was too good to be true.We ordered at 2:15AM. I got the fried lobster and shrimp platter. The food got there about 30 minutes later delivered by the Co owner and she was sooo kind and helpful.The food was hot and it smelled amazing. Everything was bomb. Real baked Mac and cheese, the lobster was juicy and tender. And the butter sauce was seasoned too, yum. The shrimp were delicious and plump, Asparagus was well coated in garlic. I LOVED every second of it and I will be returning every time I got to AC.
First time in Atlantic City and we ordered dinner from Tha Afty last night. Everything was absolutely delicious. The salmon was super fresh and cooked to perfection. The catfish bites and all the sides were fantastic. We ordered on DoorDash. Our order was accurate and arrived quickly. Would highly recommend this place!
Had some Shrimp Rasta pasta, lollipop lamb chops ??? third time's gotta be a charm... going for the catfish tonight...???
I was in Atlantic City for a concert and was staying overnight. Looking for something to eat before the concert I chose Tha Afty on Doordash. I ordered a whiting dinner with mac and yams as the side, garlic honey salmon (same two sides) and a shrimp quesadilla. I got the food and everything was right except for the quesadilla. All they sent was an order of shrimp. Nonetheless we ate the food and everything was amazing. The food was so good came back from the concert and ordered again. This time I selected the shrimp quesadilla but put In the special request box that I want a quesadilla with shrimp not just an order of shrimp (I think there is a glitch with the ordering on Doordash). I ordered the fried lobster with colossal shrimp and Mac and rice and beans as side, and the crab cake balls. This time my order arrived with the quesadilla but they messed up on one of my sides. Instead of rice and beans I got collard greens. But again we just went in on the food. Super delicious second time around too. Everything packaged well and nice and hot. Food so good didn't even get a chance to take a picture. I just know anytime I'm in AC I'll be ordering from here. Forget the boardwalk pizza lol. Normally I would be upset with the mess ups but even the stuff I didn't order was good. They just need to pay more attention to the order details but other than that some of the best food in AC for sure. Oh and did I mention they are open till like two in the morning?!?!
Everything is sooo fresh n good I got the chicken wings with hot honey sauce with collar greens n baked mac with catfish nuggets everything is so fresh n delicious ? I highly recommend!!
Food was so good and I mean like really good I didn’t have to add salt or pepper lol I came from out of town I have to honestly admit this is the best food in AC period no shade to any other restaurants but Tha AFTY IS FIRE! I come over to ac often and never had anything like tha afty. I had the lamb with Mac and yams omg I’m so mad cause I live like 1 hour 30 minutes away and ima crave this now like seriously black owned Sneaky spot good food till 4AM plus banana pudding cupcakes was crazy
I love the Affty the good and prices are the best if you haven’t been there yet get there ASAP
