Good coffee and they open early around 7 AM. The problem is they’re attitude. They don’t listen to work you ask him to do a favor for doing what They are here to do. Let’s steal it is good to be here and it is good to have a coffee place that opens early.
Picked up some sandwiches to go. Nice menu, nice people and the food is excellent. Just takes a while but then so do most good things.
I asked for a cup of iced water and was told it's $ 1. The amount isn't the point. Everywhere else in the state of New Jersey when a customer asks for a cup of iced water it is free. The girl was polite and did give me the option to have a large cup.Their food smells yummy.
I usually visit Bean and Bread when playing the slots at the GN. I often will use my comps here. I usually get an ice coffee and a sandwich. When I was in AC in June, this restaurant was open much more, including during the day, as currently it closes at NOON every day, and reopens later like 4pm on fri-sun. That is annoying and very limited. When I visited this past Friday, the two guys working were friendly, and I chose an Italian sandwich, they offered it hot or cold, for here or to go, and when I said hot and for here, the man said he would put it on a plate for me. The sandwich was tasty but a tad bit pricey (I was probably spoiled by the famous Italian half sub from White House Subs the day before!). You have to add your own sugar and creamer which is a bit annoying considering the coffee is pricey too! I am sure I will be back some day and it is a great stop for a quick bite!
I know it's a sandwich/coffee shop but don't bother. $20 for a chicken pesto sandwich..2 thin strips of chicken 1" ea., 2 even smaller strips of something red & I guess pesto but not sure & a birch beer. I knew we should have gotten a sandwich at Whitehouse Subs. Sorry GN but I really think your "chefs" & mgmt should try eating in your eateries before selling it.

Do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it. Prices were appropriate. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I loved.
I visited the Bean and Bread Restaurant located in the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino during my stay at the hotel. I ordered that Italian sub sandwich, which was very tasty and filling with a large ice tea. I really enjoyed the sandwich after losing on the slot machines. I will try something different on my next visit. The homemade pastries looks awesome. I will also try their breakfast selection and various coffee.
