Eating at Angelo's was very pleasant. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very old Atlantic City, with photos of of customers such as Joe DiMaggio, Babe Ruth, and other immortals covering the walls. The food and drinks were excellent. I'm not sure if the first floor is accessible to wheelchairs, but I believe it's okay for canes and walkers. For able people, it's up stairs, then maybe down a couple stairs, and up again, to an open table. There is free parking behind the restaurant.
I think the food is just ok. It is not expensive though with big portion. I noticed almost everyone was packing food. Our family (two kids) ordered three meals but only finished almost half. Lasagna I ordered is kinda bland. Not too much taste, the ground beef in my opinion is not juicy, very dry. I don't know why. I added a little bit salt on the leftover and felt much better.
Coming to Angelo’s has become a tradition for my mother and j whenever I come in town. The best things on the menu is the LOBSTER RAVIOLI and the seafood pasta w lemon butter sauce Omg . I love getting a bottle of wine with my dinner and let’s not forget the Italian salad with fresh warm bread…. yummmmmThe staff here is amazing and super welcoming. You can feel the love in this establishment.
My husband and I had dinner here for his birthday. The lobster ravioli and sea scallops were fantastic! The scallops were cooked perfectly, the scampi sauce was awesome. And the lobster ravioli came with a 6 oz lobster tail on top... which was the icing on the cake! We will continue to come here any time we are in Atlantic City!
Always have dinner at Angelo’s when we visit AC. Great meal at reasonable prices . Had different servers each time & they were so pleasant & accommodating. Definitely check it out!
Only if you're into seafood and lots of pasta for dinner. Very typical NJ style Italian American food, i.e big servings and standard menu offerings. they do have a great specials menu. We were seated upstairs so it was a more intimate experience for my party. The server was very nice and patient with my friends who were visiting AC from New England area, she had a good sense of humor. Will return again next time we're in AC.
My family dined here recently, and we had a great time. I enjoyed the decor, especially the pictures of the great NY Yankees from years ago. The clams and calamari were excellent, and my daughter enjoyed the shrimp scampi. My son was able to order chicken tenders which is usually a kids meal. Parking is directly across the street, which was complimentary. Great ambiance.?
Went here with my son and daughter in law. The lasagna was to die for (huge portion) loaded with meat and cheese plus came with a meatball! The mozzarella sticks were the best we ever had. The dinner salad had a bit too much dressing. We had a long wait but it was a Saturday night. Will go back when we are in town.
I hate writing negative reviews. But, I rely on the reviews of others, and word of mouth, but in this case they steered me wrong. If you are coming into town using the expressway, you really can't miss the sign. I have passed it more times than I could count. But, I never got around to dining here- until recently. The building has a long history, and is filled with pictures on all of the walls. It is really cool to look at them as you dine. The bartenders were absolutely lovely- top notch. We arrived at opening, and were quickly seated. We were a party of three. We started with mozzarella sticks. I thought that they were good. But, my fellow diners disagreed. I ordered the eggplant parm with pasta, the others in my party ordered fried flounder, and alfredo. We all were disappointed with the flavor. I was told that the flounder was the worst she had every had- hard and tasteless. I will say that the pasta was cooked just right, and the sauce was very good. I wish that I had just gotten that. Given the prices and quality, compared to dining at some of the casinos, I felt we would have been better served to eat at the casino. However, there are some other great local dining establishments. And, I am all for supporting them.
Classic joint to get Italian food. The broiled shrimp with crab imperial was great. The restaurant was super hot but thankfully after we asked they turned the air on. It’s weirdly laid out with a bunch a small rooms and a tight bar to navigate back to the dining area.
