Italian Salad Soup

I cannot say enough about our experience here. We were sat quickly. Our server, Michael, was attentive and courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He offered many good options when we were struggling on what to order. Manager came over and checked on us and was very nice. Food was DELICIOUS!!! I would definitely recommend visiting here!

The food was served warm - not hot. This was surprising since it was well cooked. One possibility is that the dishes may have been sitting at the counter too long before being picked up by the staff. Our waiter was not attentive following delivery of the entrées and did not check in to see if we were enjoying the food or to offer Parmesan cheese This was very disappointing considering the high price of the meals. I liked my dishes (shrimp appetizer and shrimp parmesan) and my wife really liked the Minestrone soup but was disappointed with "Moms" Lasagna. It was quite bland compared to dishes we have had at less “upscale” restaurants.

Food is just average. Calamari not made fresh for the table, looked kind of like old french fries that were laying around. Tortelloni dish overpriced and more like an appetizer portion. Same with the ricotta cheescake...a small piece with a big price tag. For the price you pay, the quality is just not there. Service was good, however. Wont be coming back.

The food in this Michael Symon Italian restaurant was amazing. I recommend the shaved Brussels sprout salad which I am going to try to replicate at home. My husband had the lasagna and had the nerve to say it was better than mine! Great cocktails and appetizers. We skipped dessert because we were so full! I told Michael in Instagram how great it was and he responded!

Muy buena atención , la comida es espectacular .

delish, great service, food was outstanding.

Fantastic menu, excellent cocktails, wonderful staff!

The food was very bland with no flavor. We ordered the Spicy Lobster and Baked Clams for appetizers. There was no spicy or seasoning at all in the Spicy Lobster………absolutely not one pepper flake for heat or anything. I requested salt from the server. The Baked Clams were dry.For Entrees, we ordered the Short Ribs and Moms Lasagna. Absolutely no salt, flavor in either dish. The lasagna had no cohesiveness, it looked like noodles with ground beef. It was dry, there was no cheese or sauce in the layers. It fell apart and looked meat and noodles. For dessert, we got the cheesecake and the chocolate cherry rum cake. The cheesecake had Ricotta and it was nasty. It was not even semi sweet had any flavor.I was highly disappointed because I’m a huge fan of Michael’s. I live in Texas and was excited about this visit. This was my first in NJ and my dining experience was displeasing. I hate to say but this was my worst meal from a restaurant.

Went there with my girlfriend. We ordered the spicy lobster appetizer, chicken parm, and spaghetti & meatballs. One would think that an Italian restaurant would be very good at making Italian dishes. However, the chicken parm and spaghetti & meatballs were pretty bad. Very bland and dry. Surprisingly, the spicy lobster appetizer was very good. They also don’t cheap out on alcohol in their cocktails. Very strong drinks. It doesn’t mean they taste good, but you get your money’s worth so +1 star for that. Bread was also dry and not very fresh.Lastly, the atmosphere was great. The place looks amazing. Unfortunately, the food was bad and I would not go there again. I’ve had better food at bread + butter cafe.

I had eaten here once before and had been impressed, so I was looking forward to eating here again, and I finally got the chance. I ordered the seafood spaghetti with white sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. Seafood was fresh and tasty, pasta very tender and flavorful. I got the minestrone soup for an appetizer, and it arrived beefing hot and very fresh. Lana at the bar was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Just a fantastic experience all around. I will always come back whenever I'm at The Borgata.
