From the view of the Atlantic to the unique starting cocktails and to the absolutely incredible and delicious main course, Stella Marina never disappoints and is our favorite place on the Asbury Park boardwalk - and having Dan as our server is always a great thing also (thanks again Dan) - will be back again very soon and bringing more of our friends along to enjoy the excellent dining experience!
Very good food great beachfront/boardwalk location. Bar service was backed up but otherwise a very good meal and experience.

I used to love this restaurant but it has gone way downhill! The host was not friendly at all and spoke to us like we were bothering him. Our initial server, Victoria, was a sweetheart- super friendly! A waiter came over abruptly without introducing himself and just asked are we ready to order. When we said that Victoria had began our order (we were confused at this point) he got very weird and said âok so you want Vic?â We didnât know what was happening and he was sweating and awkward and cranky! We were super patient already knowing that restaurants are under staffed - we didnât get to place our entree orders for almost an HOUR! When we saw Victoria and asked her what happened she said she accidentally took his table - which again, we were understanding about their miscommunication but no one filled us in. Drinks took forever to come, apps came out quick. Dinner was a 3 hour event which we were not happy about! My cloth chair was wet on top of it all so I had a huge wet spot on my dress. It was as if no one knew what the other was doing. One person dropped off appetizer plates and before our apps even came, another employee took the clean plates away! the entire experience was bizarre and super disappointing. We made these plans for a birthday celebration weeks prior and I requested inside, upstairs with a view. It was not even that busy and we were seated downstairs in the middle of the room. We didnât complain because thatâs not our style. The waiter, SAM, actually chased us out because he didnât see a tip on the bill. His service wasnât just poor, it was offensive actually. So rude and unprofessional. I grew up in the restaurant business and we never treated customers this way. We will not be returning. Someone should tell Sam that gratuities are not a must when you do a terrible job serving your guests. To be honest, we made a mistake with the amount because it was a split bill but if it were up to me I would not have left him a dime

Appetizers were average. Burrata was small For the price. Calamari was not good. Mai course was ok. But overall, I will not go back for a while. Many other options in Asbury

Anniversary
Fantastic meal and service! Ricotta crostini was just delicious, salmon was truly covered in pine nuts, branzino was fantasticânot just another slab of mild white fishâbut a really, really tasty piece of fish that was well-prepared! Vibe was also greatâenergetic and happy, but not too loud and staff was super-attentive yet not annoying or running around urgently. Canât wait to visit again!
