The food was great, however the service was not up to par. Our waitress had a very unfriendly manner the entire evening. I also left a birthday card on the table that had a GC in it. We went back in minutes letter after I realized I hadn’t grabbed it off the table and no one could find it. They were annoyed this was even happening as if I meant to leave it there. The table was being cleaned and the cloth was just being taken off the table yet no one could find this card. They took down my number and said they would call if it showed up well they didn’t. I called and was quickly rushed off the phone. Disappointed in this experience all around.

Walked in and smelled wonderful. But not gluten friendly at all. Was offered a piece of plain grilled chicken, We left without ordering. We eat a lot of Italian and even if you have no gluten free pasta you can’t bother to put a tomato sauce and some cheese on a piece of grilled chicken? Extremely disappointed and won’t return, We did enjoy a wonderful Italian meal, very gluten friendly at Belmonte’s in Asbury Park that night.

Went on a Sunday Mid Afternoon for early dinner. Family of Five. Frank our server was Great and very efficient seated immediately. Started with Fried Calamari served with both Marinara and Hot dipping sauce. Next up huge bowl of fresh salad. Orders included Linguine with clams, Lasagna Chicken cutlet Parm, Boneless Breast of chicken, Francaise. All meals were done to Perfection!!! no wonder when Celebrities are in the area it's their Restaurant of choice Always Great!!!

Was disappointed on my most recent visit. Ordered the Veal parm and burned the roof of my mouth on the first bite which then presented a blister. Obviously it must have been reheated in a microwave. Still feeling that two days later. Wasn't expecting a microwave to be used in Jimmys. Two others who I was dining with didn't have that issue but they ordered from the specials.

One of the best spots around and the fact they've been in business FOREVER should say it all. The veal chop is one of the best in all of jersey and the fish is fresh and delicious....and they're open Monday which is a plus in this area

Omg! I think we finally found our "go to" Italian restaurant. We went because I had won a tricky tray of Asbury Park restaurant gift cards and Jimmy's was one of them. The food was beyond superb. Such a chill atmosphere and the waitress was absolutely wonderful and above and beyond accommodating. My husband and I couldn't get over the experience of it. Definitely a professional chef...not someone making family recipes. We went on the early side with reservations at six. By the time we left at about a quarter to eight! The place was full. I Definitely recommend reservations and lean toward early rather than later. It's a scoche on the higher side but we'll with every penny. I do believe we will frequent it monthly from here on out. Love, love it.

I have been celebrating my family milestones here for over 30 years with IMPECCABLE service at all times. I will never come back. EVER. I spent $1,000 on a birthday dinner tonight, and the waitress dropped the check WITH NO WORDS AT ALL. Like I just ordered eggs at a diner. And this was after THREE people in our party did not get their dinner with the rest of us. I do not write reviews. But to be clear. I will take my business elsewhere going forward.

Went tonight 3/26 absolutely amazing. Great service great food. Can't wait to go back several things on menu I would love to try.

Been coming here since the late 1990s and have never had a bad meal. The food is always plentiful and delicious. Love the old school vibe and atmosphere. The valet parking guy Arthur is always efficient and kind. Wish I knew what type of peppers they put in the salads they are amazing!

Came here last night to celebrate my girlfriend's and brother in law's 30 birthday. Upon arrival they had valet parking which is nice for anyone who would need it. Once we got inside, we waited for a hostess to see us, she walked us back to our table which interestingly enough we had to walk by the entire kitchen to get to. For a moment we thought we were going to be seated in the kitchen. The decor was old and outdated. It looked like a banquet hall turned restaurant, dingy carpets, Dusty picture frames on walls etc. Once we sat down our waitress came over right away to introduce herself and give us menus. Then we were left alone for maybe about 20 minutes, after that she came back and offered drinks. We got our drinks about 15 minutes later, and after we had been looking through the menus for another 30 minutes THEN she informed us about the specials which we could barely hear her as she was wearing two masks and it was very loud inside the small room. We placed our orders and appetizers took a while to come out but once they did they were worth it. After placing our dinner order we waited a little more over an hour to receive our food which was decent but some of the prices seemed a little over inflated for what they were serving. The chicken with prosciutto was served in a watery butter sauce that was unappealing and not tasty at all to three of us who tried it. Pasta dishes were basic Italian, penne vodka and Alfredo which again, basic nothing special for 17$, my mother-in-law got fish that she enjoyed, and we also ordered two pizzas which were okay. After giving us another hour to eat our food she came by to start collecting plates, and after being asked if they served coffee she gave an interesting attitude towards my mother-in-law, it was just a question, no need to tell us how you clean tables. They brought out our cake for us to sing, they cut it for us and served it. Ultimately didn't seem so bad for a Saturday night until it came time to pay. We broke down our bill and tip and some came from cash tips and some on card. Unbelievably, our waitress mentioned something about our tip not being sufficient before actually totaling how much was given between the two payment types. We thought it extremely rude of her to say something about it, I'd understand if we low balled the tip, but we did leave a correct amount for the service we got. We arrived at 830, didn't leave until 11:15. 3 hours almost to serve food and then give us an attitude as we're leaving. For this being our first time here,( and having to drive an hour to get there) it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth and it is in fact going to be the last time we go there again.
