Absolutely amazing food!!! We demolished the food, everything came out fast and the service was top notch. Sanches is an amazing soul and he catered to all our needs without any problem. Definitely coming back soon. Love it <3
First time at El Rey! What a cute casual place, I felt like I was at a family friend’s house for dinner. Loved the inside table/chairs. Very reasonably priced and BYO. Our waitress Susannah was Awesome!! Go check it out!

Was so excited to try this place based on the reviews, and had heard about it around. Decided to do take out one night… let them run my card… Buyer be aware. I was charged ab $45.00+ for 2 (avg size) burritos (only). Asked the person charging me “if that could possibly be right?” And got a generic/non-descript response. Wishing not to cause a scene, I left. My food was very good, but absolutely not worth the price… In my opinion, this place is a rip off. Have never and would never go back.

Absolutely amazing food. I got the regular tacos and deep fried chicken tacos along with a soup. The tacos were cooked well and very tasty. The rice and beans were delicious and the rice was soft. The soup was so good I had to order some to go. Great atmosphere and everyone was super sweet. Definitely coming back!
Promised the guy there I would write two reviews because the food has been excellent each time. Unfortunately Google limits me to one but let me tell you…I never write reviews, I have to be impressed. I haven’t had any issues The quality of the food was on point. The service excellent. Yes, it took a bit longer but it’s real food. What do you expect? Fresh food made when you order. Be patient. The chicken tacos with salsa verde are amazing.
I came here because my neighbor brought us some birria tacos and they were really good. So, my wife and I decided to come here for lunch. We ordered wings, tacos de res, torta de res and huaraches de res. The food was OK, the tacos were over seasoned, the steak torta was stuffed with lettuce and big slices of tomatos, the super thin slice of breaded steak was a bit too salty for my taste buds and so were the french fries, to the point were my wife and I couldn't eat them. The steak huaraches were again overseasoned. The one great thing was the waitress Charlotte she was super friendly and attentive.Being Mexican I was super excited to find a place that had authentic Mexican flavors but unfortunately I didn't find that here.
This is a little hidden gem! ?Food is absolutely amazing. So authentic, so delicious.20/10 recommend. We will certainly be back.
Really delicious food! Friendly staff and a super cute outdoor dining area. Some of the negative reviews on here are garbage, get a life people. We will be back-great addition to Asbury.
