I think this ice cream is the best in Portsmouth but unfortunately they don’t have many flavors at a time. Highly recommend though!
Red Rover is a wonderful place! From the small, intentional menu to the warm atmosphere, this small business is such a breath of fresh air. And the ice cream is phenomenal, of course!
Tried the gluten free brownie cookie and the mint brownie ice cream. Both were fantastic! The cookie was a perfect chewy and the ice cream had a lot of brownie pieces mixed in. The mint flavor was real…like chewing on a mint leaf real. No artificial flavors here. I’ll be back.
I am so glad I broke my ice cream fast (10 days!) with this ice cream. Incredibly delicious. I absolutely loved the plum one. My family loved their vanilla and strawberry. Fantastic!

The first night I came, I tried the brown sugar nectarine ? it was so creamy and flavorful. I promptly came back the next night. Honestly haven’t had better ice cream. The couple who runs it are very friendly, and they make everything with fresh ingredients. I can’t wait to come back!
This ice cream is something special. I had the dairy free plum, and the balance of creaminess and tartness was out of this world! I’ve never had dairy free ice cream that tasted so good! The black raspberry and chocolate cookie caramel were also phenomenal. Beautifully served with a tiny, crispy cone on top, we loved every bite!
Rain or shine this place is special. We had the plum and apricot flavors and the care to texture, taste, and detail was obvious from the get go. The flavors take no prisoners, and as I type this I'm going back for a cookie. Don't miss out!
