Sunday brunch treasure! Fantastic options, a most knowledgeable and helpful mixologist/bar tender—we had a great time!

Raleigh offers on of the best outdoor dining experiences in Portsmouth when the weather's cooperative. Always a great spot for drinks, small plates and desserts. This particular visit we had outdoor reservations but chose to eat inside since the weather report was off and it wasn't as nice as anticipated. They regularly rotate the menu so you can always find new things to try but can be worth checking the menu beforehand to ensure you'll find something you like because what you loved last time might not be on the menu next time you visit. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable of both the menu and wine / beverage pairings. Definitely take advantage of their expertise. Overall Raleigh is a great spot to start or end your night in downtown Portsmouth.

Amazing food, drinks, and service. Charming location with a great patio in downtown Portsmouth.

The first time I came to this establishment was due to a Groupon which was offering dance classes for couples. I loved it and the hall was so big. I recommended it to my cousin for my neice sweet 17. I was so amazed to see how the new owners had made it even more beautiful. Everyone who worked their was so friendly and attentive. I was told they offer brunch and I have to come back to experience more than just dancing lol. I can't wait. If ever your in the area I definitely recommend this place. Let me know what you guys think. #vegan-ish?

Came here by chance because every other restaurant was closed or booked on a Wednesday night. Called and the gentleman was pleasant and accommodating for four. The space has classy white marble bar room with high top tables for food and drinks and a separate dining area. Menu is very small with only four entrees, four small plates, and a handful of appetizers. Most items were French inspired. We had started with the cheese board which was delicious. I do think four slices of toast would be be better for a table of four. For the meals, my 12 year old wasn’t as impressed with the selection as we were, however, he did like the duck my husband ordered. They happily gave him plain pasta (half a cup cooked) as his entree. The duck was delicious but needed more vegetables to balance the plate. The flat iron steak was slightly too rare but well seasoned and a bit veiny. It was the most filling meal with the roasted white carrots and potatoes. The tagliatelle with veal sauce was good with some tender small pieces of veal and fat. I personally will never order it again. The waitress was very knowledgeable with wines and offered me a tasting which was good because I didn’t like it. We found one that was perfect. The desserts were an outstanding ending. Would we go back, not with our kids because most dishes were overpriced for the amount of food you receive.

Great staff and nice list of wine and beer by the glass. They also what a nice list of cocktails and full menu. Both the Kale salad and the pasta were excellent

I love this place. Food is delicious and service is great!

This is the best resturant in Portsmouth since mamba closed. My wife and I have been a number of times and not once have we been disappointed. The hen’s egg was great again. We tried the millefeuille potatoes, and they were excellent. The carrots were also a first time try and they were great. The salmon was excellent. I recommend the Raleigh to anyone who goes to Portsmouth. If you don’t try it you are missing out.

Admittedly, our experience of this place was for a private event. However, the food was EXCELLENT. It was all so delicious and very well timed for the event. The portions were appropriately sized for each course and we all walked away very happy. The staff working was very attentive as well. The sommelier worked with the people hosting the event to make selections and they paired very well with dinner.

Fantastic surprise in one of the best locations in town. Beautiful setting, very attentive staff, and exceptional creative food. We started with the drinks and the cheese Board. Very nice cocktails. Elote Stuffed Pepper was amazingly creative. Salt Baked Foie Gras was one of the best we've ever had. Great place to bring friends or colleagues. Will have to come back to continue sampling the menu.
