Great food and service! Highly recommended
Recently diagnosed Celiac, I have been craving delicious warm bread that tastes good. While on vacation in Portsmouth looking for a breakfast place I saw gf popovers on the menu I had to try them! I was not disappointed, they are delicious! Also had the popover with tuna on the side and then bought a few to take home with maple butter and a delicious raspberry macaroon. Wish I could find a place like this near my home. Until in Portsmouth again I will craving for the amazing popovers!
amazing food, and just as amazing staff
We stopped in to get these to go to bring back home. Got a dozen. Wish we had tried them while we were in the store. They were super dry and not moist inside at all. Slathered with butter and some egg and it was better but I’m used to just eating a fresh popover and not having to add anything to it. Was a little disappointed in the taste because it looked so yummy.
We stopped here to pick up popovers and my goodness were they delicious! I was first introduced to popovers in Acadia National Park at the Jordan Pond House where they are served on the dessert menu, they are cut open and served with ice cream. Something that I would recommend to everyone when we would discuss popovers. I have never seen them served that way again until we stopped here. The popovers were just as good as the Jordan Pond House and they served them cut open with ice cream. This place is a must stop if in Portsmouth. Either take them to go or dine in! 10 outta 10!
The chocolate cream pie and the key lime pie we bought for Pi Day were both very delicious! I'm excited to try the snickerdoodle cookie I also bought. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they even sliced our pies when we took them to-go. They had lots of great cakes on display. The business was nice and clean and quite lively when we went by at 4pm on a Monday afternoon.
Stopped in for breakfast around 10AM on a Sunday morning. The treats behind the counter looked really good, but for our first visit we were looking to just grab something quick for breakfast. We were going to order two eggs benedict, and were told they only had enough to make one…which was kind of surprising, and disappointing. We ordered the one and ordered an egg and cheese sandwich with bacon instead. For the price we paid, the egg sandwich was so small. It tasted good, but I was definitely still hungry. We went to another business across the street for a better second breakfast.
Friendly and helpful employees. Clean tables of assorted sizes. Delicious and beautiful pastries. Has an assortment of decaf/herbal teas along with their assortment of caffeinated teas and coffees. Quick service. They even make wedding cakes!
Quaint, cozy, fresh and local. Delicious homemade soups and plenty gluten free options!
Love the food and the environment. You can almost taste it in the air! My old friends from high school I'm sure are frequents there still. They are always chasing the next hotspot. With their love of ghouls and goblins I'm surprised Harry Potter didn't have popovers on the menu! Gotta get with the program!
