I first went to OK 3 years ago while living in Portsmouth for a year. I went several times during 2019. In the three years I was away, I thought of Ohana kitchen many times and the wonderful food I had there. I just got back to the seacoast for the summer/fall and was looking forward to having many meals from OK again. Today was my first time back and I can’t even tell you how utterly disappointing my food was. The spicy crunchy Ahi was almost too spicy to eat (I’m from Louisiana and can take the heat and love Siracha). The tuna was mushy and had little flavor. The dish seemed to need Tamari or soy. Kind of blah. I also ordered a side of seaweed salad that was so salty and vinegary that it was completely inedible. I picked up food and ate with 2 friends who had similar reactions to my food as well as what they ordered. My favorite restaurant just changed to one I won’t be going back to.
Had to try it twice to make sure I wasn't just hungry, personally I'm a big fan of the fruit and spicy Sriracha combo, the fact that everything is so fresh really makes it worth it
My wife and I went for dinner for the first time. I was amazed at how fresh all the ingredients were. Every bite of the bowl tasted different. Super fast service. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
First time having a poke bowl so I have to admit I don't have a lot of context. but it was delicious. I got the spicy crunchy ahi at the suggestion of the person behind the counter. It was super tasty. All of the ingredients were very fresh and it was thoughtfully prepared. Service was friendly. I will definitely be back.
Creative, healthy mixed vegetable and protein bowls. The salmon and tuna are always a solid choice but I love the one called Ohana 30, with a baby kale base, poached chicken, mango, macadamias and extra thai chilies. The Hawaiian inspired decor and brand is nice, especially in New Hampshire!
I never write reviews but my current delivery experience warrants one.Look, the food here is fantastic. I’ve been ordering poke bowls from here for years and the quality is consistently outstanding. However, I decided to order delivery this morning and boy, was that a mistake I’ll never make again. I placed my order at 8:50 AM for a 12:15 delivery. As I’m writing this it’s 12:59 and I still don’t have my food. I got an email with my order confirmation but nothing since. I actually called to make sure they didn’t forget my order. I was informed that my order was out for delivery - no other details could be provided. This is not an acceptable level of service. I know you don’t use DoorDash, but certainly you could provide a text or email update. It’s been almost an hour now (!) and for all I know the driver could’ve eaten my lunch and thrown away the evidence. (I’m kidding, but it’s to make a point.) Please do better.
I have celiac disease in addition to 6 allergens; Ohana Kitchen made me an absolutely delicious Poke bowl that was completely safe for me! The food was so good that everyone I was with would have been happy to go back again the next day too (if they were open on Sundays)! The staff was extremely knowledgeable about allergens and the ingredients of their dishes. I felt completely confident that my food was safe for me and I felt great after eating it! I will definitely go back to Ohana Kitchen next time I’m in Portsmouth and I highly recommend it!
Really great poke bowls. I got the spicy ahi. Delicious, and my wife had the spicy salmon special. Nice to find a great poke bowl. Staff were very helpful with the selection of items added/deleted, very laid back and comfortable location. Plenty of parking and menu choices.
This place never disappoints! Having lived in Hawaii for a couple of months this is on par with the poke I got out there. Love love love this place. 10/10 would recommend. The build your own bowls is my favorite.
