Server was outstanding as well as the rest of the staff. It was obvious they worked as a team. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to others! We were there for my daughter's 16 birthday.
We have visited Massimos a few times now and have been pleased. Thatâs the reason why o booked again far in advance for a special birthday of my partner. I requested a particular table. I was promised at the time of reserving it would be fulfilled. It was, so I thank so much whoever took the reservation. The restaurant for some reason or another is very loud. The bread came, four-5 small cubes of cold/stale bread. No butter, but thatâs ok, there would not have been room on the cube for butter. My salad was all greens with no detectable dressing and one slice of delicious tomato. My dinner of filet mignon had only a âsmearâ of mashed potato and some kind of undetectable bitter chopped cooked green. My partners dinner of bucatini , was not hot and the pasta too hard. Yes, we know pasta is supposed to be Al dente. This was hard pasta and a tiny bowl of it, as an entree. Additionally, a 3 ounce glass of wine 15.00, 25.00 for 6 ounces for average wine. Umâ¦weâll pass. Very disappointed this time. We wonât return for quite awhile. Too expensive for less than desirable. There are other restaurants besides this one. Sorry this is the truth.
Nice to finally get in
Amazing! Massimo's is always on point. Food is excellent and often unique. Service staff are always concerned you have everything you need. It is a treasure in the Portsmouth area but we come all the way down from Kennebunk, ME because it is worth the travel! You always feel like family at Massimo's
First time dining at Massimo. Had heard good things about the restaurant so expectations were high. The experience exceeded the already high expectations. Charming underground dining space, impeccable service and every dish our party ordered was very good to outstanding. Highly recommended.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere make Massimo's a required stop for fine dining in Portsmouth.
Wonderful place to celebrate that special occasion. I loved the Black Bass with zucchini and summer squash! Everything was delicious from appetizers to dessert. The service was great too. Truly an evening to remember.
Massimos is timeless and never fails to delight! His menu is ever changing and each dish was excellent. Downstairs is our favorite place for special occasions. Upstairs and outside for any time. Thank you Massimos!!
We had an amazing experience. The food was outstanding, the carbonara is as good of an Italian meal Iâve had since a trip to in Italy in 2018. The server was friendly and professional and made sure we were taken care of all night. Highly recommend this place for a night out or special occasion.
