Best pizza in Portsmouth! The large is huuuuge and the toppings are high quality.
Being originally from New York, this is by far one of the best NY pizzas I've had away from NY. The salads my friend and I had to start were outstanding as well. If you are just two people, the small pizza is a perfect size! We had the pepporoni pizza with a few extra toppings and asked for it extra well done and it came out perfectly, not floppy at all like other places always seem to give me! We ate our entire pizza and it was worth every penny! I was also impressed with the delivery driver who seemed quite dedicated to his job and in between was cleaning off tables outside, keeping the place looking really tidy! And the staff inside was very friendly as well! Bottom line, if you are looking for incredible NY pizza, go here!
I had my first experience at Luigi's! I really enjoyed the misto salad as well as the Italian fries! Happy hour is every single day of the week from 4:00 to 6:00!! This is a deal you can't beat.
I originally posted an unfavorable review after a bad encounter here, however, I feel it’s fair to update my review since the owner actually reached out to me the other day regarding my experience. He had confirmed everything that happened with his staff and explained that it was partly due to a miscommunication with the chef, but agreed the situation was handled poorly. I greatly appreciate the fact that he looked into this and reached out to me personally, and I’m glad to know that what I experienced was not how issues are normally dealt with. I’m more than happy to give Luigi’s another chance.
Incredible staff and pizza! From the phone call to being seated, the staff members had the best energy. Very friendly people. The environment is very chill and laid back. Dim, comfortable lighting, music playing at just the right level, clean and comfy booths with the option of tables as well. The wait wasn’t long at all. To be honest I was expecting a long wait because we ordered 3 pizzas. But it only took about 15 minutes for our first pizza to come out. I’m about another 5 minutes we had all three pizzas. Wow! First thing that caught our attention was the size! You definitely get more than what you pay for! Absolutely delicious! The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness. I love their crust and dough. Even the dough had a very satisfying, savory bite to it. We ordered a large pizza to go. I have never seen such a big pizza!! When we got home and plated it, one slice covered a 9 inch dinner plate! Absolutely huge!! Only for $21 too. Definitely recommend Luigi’s. Great family environment with amazing food. Also have the option to dine outside! Super nice for summer time.
I travel for work so I stop at a lot of smaller local pizza places, and In all my travels Luigis hands down has the best Margarita pizza I've ever had. I've been back multiple times in 2 weeks for this simple but delicious meal. I'm pretty sure the secret ingredient is magic? I don't know, but the staff are always above and beyond too. On the phone or in the store you can tell it's just good people. I'll be back before I move to the next state for sure! Don't pass up on this gem♡
Amazing pizza, great drinks, and some of the best service Iv ever had! Griffin was extremely attentive and personable. Highly recommend!
This place has the potential to be great, however…It’s nice to have a New York style pizza place around. The pizza can be great… when the special requests are followed. They use a shake cheese (Parmesan I believe) after the pizza comes out of the oven. It is way to salty for us so we always request no Parmesan shaken on at the end, and nearly every time we end up with the cheese shaken on. If they would consistently follow the request this could easily be our regular pizza place, but unfortunately that has not been the case. We’ll keep trying periodically and hopefully at some point we can get it figured out because the once or twice they actually have done what we’ve asked it has been excellent pizza!
The absolute best Italian sub I have ever had in my entire life! Which is a very tall order because I have had sandwiches from all around the world! Just the way it comes, it is perfect! Usually when I have bread with sesame seeds I can never taste it, however they're sesame sub roll tasted like a sesame stick that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! The only thing I wish was that it was bigger, because it was so good I didn't want it to end! If I could get 20 Stars I would!
We recently had a company dinner at Luigi’s and it was phenomenal! From the moment we started talking with them to plan the communication and hospitality was amazing. The night of, the staff was incredible and very attentive to our needs without being too much. The food was simply perfection. Nothing seemed rush or thrown together, the appetizers were amazing, the pizza was amazing and even some special menu items were amazing. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Luigi’s - you did a fantastic job. We will be back again! ~Justin and the CAC team
