Response to the company’s reply: I asked the server at least twice to sanitize the scooper (or use a fresh one) and she said “we can’t do that,” which made it impossible to order ice cream for my 2 year old with an allergy. I wasn’t looking for a guarantee; I was looking for a little extra effort on your part (all the other shops will take this extra step if asked). The real reason is your shop was busy and didn’t want the extra hassle, hence this review. Talk to your staff and get it right in the future.Don’t bother to go to this place if anyone in your party has a peanut allergy. This is probably the least accommodating ice cream shop I’ve ever seen. They literally turned us away when we said there was a peanut allergy instead of doing what every other ice cream parlor has done: use a fresh utensil to scoop the ice cream. No trouble with this at Annabelle’s or Lago’s in Portsmouth. But here you will be met with a bad attitude.

I love their ice cream and the chocolate waffle cone was so thick probably one of the best ones I've had in my life. I also bought other little sweet treats I have not had a chance to try it but if it's anything like the ice cream it's going to be a fantastic highly recommend

Each year our business, Greg West Photography, sends gifts to our clients during the holidays. I was a bit delayed this year in getting this done and when I contacted Kilwin's I was worried I could not get a custom order in time. I told Janette I wanted some goodies with our logo on them. Not only did she say "no problem" to our timeline, she mocked up some samples and suggested goodies to achieve what I was looking for within 24 hours - despite it being their busiest time of year. Additionally, she shipped them for us, including one to Canada. The price was reasonable and the service warrants 5 stars. Everyone loved their treats. Huge shout out to Kilwins for their quality and service!
Definitely the kind of place to cuddle up to your sweet tooth in. Great service and amazing goodies. It's one of my most stops whenever I'm in Portsmouth.
Best ice cream and waffle cup I've ever had in my life. Very friendly staff, and was able to speak with the young girl that was making the fudge on the table she was so polite and very knowledgeable she actually took the time out on her busy day to explain the process of the fudge making.

Nice seating in the middle of downtown. Even the small waffle cone was a very large portion. Great variety of flavors, just like a Ben and Jerry's scoopshop. Try the fruit drinks.
