I some great take out from Dwyers tonight. Thank you for the super fast delicious food!
Finally gave Dwyer’s a shot and we’re not disappointed! We live just down the road and have found a new potential spot to frequent. The cocktail menu is small but mighty with empress gin featured in one drink. The bartender also made an excellent Negroni and Last Word upon request. We topped it all off with some delightfully crispy French fries and the best honey mustard in town.
Stopped here for lunch while visiting Portsmouth, and was expecting a typical "shamrocks and blarney" Irish bar, but was pleasantly surprised with this cozy little place, which is tastefully decorated in a fresh and contemporary style.Had a pilsner, which was great, and I regretted not having a pint of the black stuff, since it looked top class. The Guinness stew was delicious, and tasted as good as homemade stew from back in Ireland. The owner (Kevin) runs a tight ship, and the bar is spotlessly clean: I'd definitely make this place my local if I lived in Portsmouth!
I hosted my wife's birthday here since it's her favorite downtown hangout. The location is perfect with plenty of parking options for our guests. The pub is laid back and comfortable with room for 30 or more. The cocktails were inspiring and expertly crafted. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Try the Brussel sprouts, they're so good that my dad ate them.
Best neighborhood bar around! Go here every week and get incredible service and amazing food. They have trivia, live music, and such a welcoming atmosphere. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out Portsmouth!
Dwyer's, you are seriously the best. Kevin (& Noelle!!) make this place the coziest, chillest neighborhood bar anyone could ever want. Free juke box, the best food (pork belly BLT with garlic aioli.....?!), best margaritas anywhere in town... it just feels good to be in there. Thank you for always taking such amazing care of us <3
Excellent food. Noel is really friendly, helpful and attentive at the bar. Juke is good. Darts. If I’m fine-tuning I would add a dessert that is a little less over-the-top than what is essentially fried dough, orios and ice cream. Maybe a bread pudding, an apple crisp. Something that goes with the quite decent whiskey selection.
I frequent Dwyers and love it! The atmosphere is chill and friendly and the drinks and food are both awesome. Highly recommend weekly trivia. One of the most underrated bars in Portsmouth!!
Great cocktail menu. The bar feels like it's been around forever, but to my surprise, it's only been open a couple years. Had nice conversation with the owner. Will come back when we're in the area again.
This place is outstanding! Our bartender Noel was very charismatic and lovely. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was quaint. It has a welcoming, house party vibe. I felt right at home
