We didn't wait as long as we were told. Adoratble outside table. Giant strawberry pancake made with fresh fruit and crunchy granola....so yummy. Husband had eggs over hash,....so tasty.
There ability to serve such a quality breakfast with a great atmosphere!!
We came here for breakfast one morning. We knew to go early as there’s not a lot of tables or seating. We had a nice breakfast in which I ordered the bagel with salmon and cream cheese! Very good and great coffee!

Always a treat to eat at Colby's! Partner and I ordered the specials off the board: sausage, mushrooms, scallions, caramelized onions w/ provolone omelet and a "Mr Blue" consisting of 2 French toast with swiss, shaved ham, and blueberry maple syrup. Both super filling and delicious!We went around 12:45pm on a Sunday and was seated almost immediately. Nice portion for the price you pay. The staff is also so friendly as always. Go-to spot when we're in the area.
Fabulous breakfast. Definitely get one of the specials... they are always amazing! The staff is great! Wait is long but absolutely worth it! You can go walk downtown at the shop while you wait!
This is the place to go for breakfast in Portsmouth. These guys are super friendly and work hard. It is a popular place, and there is a wait if you come late, but there is no lack of hustle on the employees' side so you get in quicker than you expect. Service is punctual and not overbearing. The food is incredible. Hot, perfectly seasoned and well balanced. Coffee is good too. Sit outside in the protected sunny patio if you can. Recommend the eggs florentine. ;) Enjoy!
We were in Portsmouth this week, and decided to get takeout breakfast. We stumbled across Colby's Breakfast. Nice little place. Very nice people who run this place too. We had eggs/hash, pancakes, and french toast. Great food.
The service is always excellent, no customer waits for coffee here (unless they’re brewing a fresh pot). The specials are consistently inventive and delicious!
Place lived up the the hype!! #1 breakfast in Portsmouth by google reviews and trip advisor. We tried it and were very impressed. Irish Eggs with homemade corn beef hash, breakfast wrap, and homemade cinnamon French toast were all incredible. Very evident they take pride in the food that comes out of their kitchen. Service was very prompt and friendly. Can’t wait to go back.
