Fun easy vibe. Great build your own tacos and margs. Perfect place to stop without a reservation. Specialty nachos were outstanding as well. They were out of pork so substituted chicken for the flavor of the month and the combination was really well done. And happy hour specials were a bonus!
I have no words to describe how good this place is. Not only was the food good but me and my family had the best service out of every restaurant we have dined in. Our waitress Dominique, was the nicest and most helpful server. The tacos that we ordered were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my entire life. If I could suggest a good taco place to anyone it would be this one. If you are coming to barrios then ask for Dominique for good service
My family of four had a really tasty dinner and fun time. Our adult children visiting from out of town enjoyed the vibe and ability to customize their meals. Fast forward to 11:30 p.m. later that evening, I'm sound asleep --- all the lights in the house are off and I hear the doorbell. It rang a second time and I got up and looked out the door and there was one of your servers standing on my front stoop in the dark holding my wallet (which had dropped out of my purse as I was grabbing our leftover tacos). I couldn't believe it!! She confirmed that I had eaten at the restaurant, asked my name and handed over the wallet -- fully intact. I offered to give her a reward and she immediately refused, saying that she lived nearby and when she saw where I lived was happy to drop it off on her way home. Talk about above and beyond service! We will continue to visit and order take out for a long time to come. Thanks!!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and service, You have to try the house made pineapple infused tequila!!!! Definitely a must try in downtown Portsmouth!

Just mediocre all around. Sorry.Confused staff up front needed to be told a few times that the family of 4 standing in front of them just needed a table for 4.Everything served to us was messy. Salsas in tiny bowls spilled out everywhere when we dipped chips.Flight of margaritas were poured so poorly; every time you picked up a glass, all the liquid beneath/around them dripped all over you.Confusing ordering system with lots of different cards that require deciphering before filling them out with... wait... where are the pencils?Tacos were decent.Cilantro lime rice was flavorless.Simply doesn't deserve the rave reviews. Ah well. Times are tough.
Food came out cold after an hour waiting, they took care of the bill but I could’ve wasted my time better than sitting in this restaurant
Loved it! Great soundtrack, quick service and delicious food. I built a few tacos and chomped chips and queso while we waited. Def coming back, absolute five stars; fix ya face !!
Loved the food but when I received my Bowl which included 6 inch x 2 inch strips of yummy beer marinated steak, I asked for a knife and the server reported that they do not provide knives but only plastic sporks. I was perplexed as to how I was supposed to eat the meat with out choking to death. No knives? That's just ridiculous! If you are going to have something on the menu such as steak strips you need to have a knife available at least for those who request one! It seems to me the restaurant is trying to avoid hiring a dishwasher as most everything is disposable. I am hoping all their single use items are compostable but who knows. This place obviously cares more about their profit margin than their customer convenience and safety or the environment.
Very disappointed. Virtually no flavor to my tacos, particularly the chicken. The lettuce had more flavor than the beans or the chicken. I love tacos and am always excited to try someplace new. I can't understand how this place has high ratings, the tacos are BORING
