I’ve been coming to this diner for years and I’ve always had great experiences. Unfortunately things have gone downhill over the last several visits. I have to ask for a new tea bag with a refill. The portions of homefries are half of what they used to be. The eggs were undercooked. I’m not someone to normally leave reviews, never mind a negative one, but I want this diner to continue to succeed so I felt the need to point out where they are going wrong. As far as the service goes, that all depends on what waitress you get. Most are good but the one I had this morning lacked any pleasantness. A lot of the pleasantness most wait staff exhibit at restaurants was completely absent. No smile, no asking how our meal was. Just taking the order, serving us and silently putting the check on our table. If the restaurant was full I could understand if she was less than attentive due to juggling many customers, but that didn’t appear to be the case at all.I’m sad to say after 10+ years of coming to this diner that I’m going elsewhere. I hope you take this critique and try to improve the diner experience for all.
I tried the Temple Street Diner for the first time about 2 weeks ago. It has an old school vibe which I love. The waitress was attentive & took care of the entire restaurant. The food was fast & fresh. Our order was perfect. I'd visit again.
Cheap. Basic. What you would expect. The prices are very accessible and the servers are polite and nice. The place is usually a little too dirty throughout the seasons. However, the food is very basic. They food is generally unseasoned, perhaps sprinkled with salt an pepper but otherwise plain, which makes the plates feel bland. The home fries are often a little undercooked and are also pretty bland. There is nothing wrong with this place, but at the same time nothing stands out - it isn't somewhere you can get something you couldn't probably make at home (and actually use spices).
I had the best Greek omelet today at the Temple Street Diner! I've eaten lots of Greek omelets at a lot of places and this one was the absolute best! ?
Food and service was outstanding was busy when I went you would never tell waitress was right there the only thing I did not like was the mug for coffee ☕ with 4 slips it was empty but the waitress was right there to refill it
Delicious food! Awesome staff! Friendly, efficient and fast service! They serve your breakfast hot!! I love temple St Diner❤️
Had a great meal at a reasonable price. Service was timely and servers were attentive.
Food was delicious and service was exceptional - Heather made my friend and I feel right at home. Temple Street Diner was exactly what we were hoping for - good food with a small town atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back!
Went to temple diner first time and let me tell you worst service and worst food I have ever experienced and me and my wife go to a new breakfast place every weekend1. Waitress was horrible waited 13 min for her to even ask her what we want to drink and she still got our drinks wrong 2nd I told her we were ready to order when she asked for our drinks told me to give her a second 10 min later she comes over to take our food order 3rd she didn’t get our food right but we didn’t complain because at that time we just wanted to leave and the food was gross eggs were burnt French toast was under cooked home fries were hard to bite into and bacon tasted like it was from last week I don’t recommend this place to anyone
I have lived in the area 25 years and kept hearing about this little diner. I checked it out and it was amazing! It is nothing fancy inside, old school diner, but loved the charm and great service.
