Visited with some friends. The gyro was very good. Hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The pita bread tasted very fresh as well. The staff was friendly. Only downside was the "double" order of fries I got with the gyro seemed like the amount of a single order. But some of the other portions I saw with the folks I was with were massive. The lamb leg was huge. The shrimp pasta was more than one could eat. And the eggplant calzone (or that is what it looked like) was big and looked great. Will definitely be back.
Amazing food and kind service. I typically order from their Greek menu. The Greek potatoes are unbelievably delicious! Great selection, food delivered hot and any mistakes are corrected in a prompt and kind manner.
It took me some time to come to terms with writing this review because I did not want to have to leave a bad review. I have ordered door dash delivery through them for the last few months. While my order was never 100% accurate a single time (missing cheese, wrong type of fries, missing other ingredients, etc), for the most part it was good enough & never serious enough to complain. I'm sure door dash orders come thru weird on their computers & may be unclear.However, my most recent experience was horrifying & very disheartening. My fiance ordered directly with the tavern for pick up, I wrote down my order for him on pen & paper so he couldn't get it wrong (BLT club w/ extra mayo). He brought it to me while I was working, and I went to eat it a couple of hours later. I discovered that instead of a BLT club with extra mayo, I got a regular BLT, except, there was no lettuce, and no mayo at all. I called the tavern and spoke with a manager, he was very kind, compassionate, and wanted to resolve the issue immediately which I greatly appreciated, even offering to deliver it to me at no cost with no question.Upon delivery of the corrected club, it was indeed a club with all ingredients this time. However, to my dismay each of the toothpicks had been snapped in half at relatively the same exact place on the picks, and none were pierced through the sandwich all the way like intended. I have spoken with others since this happened since I wanted to chalk it up to an accident or maybe they needed to break them to have the sandwich fit, but this had NEVER happened before and the picks fit just fine in ever other delivery.This is food tampering & highly illegal. I was hurt that someone could do this. It is a serious offense to mess with someone's food, and I was scared that they may have done something else to the food that I didn't know about so I tossed it. I am hesitant to eat out anywhere now due to this situation.I work at a nearby hotel and have always highly recommended this tavern to our guests at check in. I will never reccomend them again as I would be horrified and feel partially responsible sending my guests to a restaurant where this could happen to them. No one deserves this. I will be telling my agents the same, & we will no longer offer their menus to the guests.

Ordered a couple of dinners and three desserts for delivery. They forgot the desserts, but we’re very apologetic and had it here as we were finishing the delicious dinner. Everything was hot and fresh, portions were generous.
Spent 78 dollars on food ordered steak tip dinner with no onions or peppers due to me having an allergy to peppers, my meal was smothered in peppers and onions, I also wanted rice and got french fries not happy.My daughters kids meal look so poor and shriveled up, there was 3 tiny over cooked chicken tenders with probally a table spoon size of curly fries, not ok.Ordered a steak and cheese calzone with side of sauce no sauce on the size.....!My soup was all over the bag because the bottem of the container broke.I called them to ask if they could please fix my order the lady was nice and said she send another soup and steak over to the house.The driver who brought the food on the other hand was not very nice and insisted I give him back my other steak tip meal so I had to go grab the meal out of my garbage to give back to himUNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!So these people screw up and make me feel like I'm bad guy, so disrespectful.People work so hard now a days for there money, and when you spend your hard earned money to treat your family to a nice lunch you should be getting exactly what you ask for!!!!We order from your restaurants and pay bucks for a good meal that help keep your place going, at least have the courtesy to make our DAM ORDERS CORRECT.Pay attention
I gave one star because the food came fairly quick that we ordered for delivery. We ordered clam strips with onion rings and coleslaw and the clam strips were way too dark almost like the oil had not been changed and the onion rings were the same. We also ordered lasagna which was just macaroni and sauce with barely any meat or cheese in it. It was lousy to be honest and that came with garlic bread that was so hard and stale it was disgusting and the salad was OK but not really my type of lettuce it was that green stringy stuff that I hate so overall I thought the meal was lousy and way over priced.
First off, this place is such a pain to find! That's because it's inside Filotimo (a casino). I'm also told that they pretty much serve the same food regardless. As for the food, very basic, but rather large size for it. I got a bacon burger (spoiling myself before a marathon relay) and opted to not get the fries, which was a smart move. My friends got steak tips and pasta which came with a salad. They're portions were big as well. I also wanted to drink Truly, but they didn't have that, so I played it save with another beer. The night we went (last Saturday) had live music, which I really liked when he played a country song.Tip: There's a hidden opening to the lot of the casino. It's between Hannaford and Goodwill, so please drive slowly and eyes peeled!
The food was okay but it is hard to find inside the casino. They refused to honor lunch special pricing at noon and gave salad dressing instead of tartar sauce with seafood.
GREAT food. Picking up food for takeout is typically difficult, the waitresses and bartenders usually ignore you until you make it a point to tell them you ordered takeout. Then they act like they're doing you a huge favor to go out to the kitchen and get it for you. Dining in is a 50/50 shot for good service.The low rating is mainly due to the political flyer attached to my takeout bag last night. The manager there decided he wants to run for a local office and is using the restaurant to try and get votes. This is highly inappropriate and I will never be going back to southside tavern.I googled this man's name and some of the top results are some things that he was legally in trouble for and are not very flattering.
