Have eaten there for 65 years and I always leave full and very content 👌.
I've been eating at this place for over 65 years and always I always leave full and content.
I had a tight window for lunch due to a business meeting but stopped here for lunch anyway. It's a small place, and the wait staff when I was there was only two ladies. All I can say is that they hustled non-stop while I was there. My waitress was eating a small bowl of cooked carrots at the other end of the bar away from the customers between serving customers and ringing up checks. I don't think she took a break. As for the diner itself, it's a New England diner. It's a vestige of a bygone era that still thrives in this part of the country. I had breakfast for lunch, and it was exactly what I expected it to be. If I get back to the area again, I would like to stop by this place and relax this time so that I am not so rushed.
Of the 7 or 8 people seated, there was No One who wasn't Already served, yet my wife and I waited too long for our breakfast to arrive. My breakfast bowl was good, but BOTH her two pancakes AND scrambled eggs were served COLD. The butter on the pancakes WOULD NOT Spread or Melt. Apparently Triple D didn't have breakfast when he was there. It was VERY DISAPPOINTING. They discounted her meal, but we'd much prefer good, Hot food. Very easy to go to The Belmont or to Juliennes
Its really good food and great service. Friendly atmosphere. My only two complaints were the parking in the area is awful not the business fault its city parking. Two was the seating only have a few booths and the stools there isn't much room to sit comfortably. You right on top of everyone. The food was good though I got strawberry waffle and go way more than I could finish. Large portions and very filling.
This was my first time here, and after everything I've heard about it I was surprised at how small it was. Even so we were able to get a seat at a booth right away. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was good. The bacon was cooked perfectly! I was also surprised at how extensive their menu is. I'll have to go back with my hubby, I think he'd love their breakfast bowls. I'm also curious if lunch and dinner is as good as breakfast, so I'll update my review after I go back. It's definitely worth another trip!
Fantastic stop for our meal in New Hampshire. My sister and I loaded up on 3 meals. Tuna melt with with baked beans, haddock sandwich with sweet potato fries, and chicken tenders with apple sauce. Entrees we’re all fantastic, other than the amazing sweet potato fries, the sides were alright.We didn’t realize how famous this place til we got here and found out we made a better choice than we thought. The diner is supposedly rate #1 on some top 10 list which is super cool. The diner is definitely authentic in the sense that you are sitting at bar like seating right up against the servers. Fun fact, it will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year.Our server, Robin, made the experience all the much better. She was hospitable from the start, was honest about the food and had a great sense of humor. She also hooked us up with a frappe which was delicious as well.Overall a wonderful stop and I definitely recommend!
I loved the general aesthetics of the place, nice atmosphere and just overall great place to be in. The service was awesome, the servers were all attentive and nice. The food was even better, huge portions and great taste, the wait was definitely worth it.Overall, I'd one hundred percent recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place to stop and eat any hour of the day.
Ordered the supposedly most popular dish “chic parm” and it smelled so bad the people next to me had to leave. It tasted worse than it smelled! I asked for a discount as I took 2 bites and didn’t dare have any more, and certainly wasn’t going to waste a perfectly good Togo container just so it could end up in a different trash. The waitress said she could only do 10% off and I said that’s nothing don’t bother. I paid the 21.50 for the inedible slop, and left before the waitress ate my leg.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This diner is really unique it s a special place filled with celebrity photos who found themselves here. Our waitress whose name sadly escapes me was fun, fast and so pleasant. We were suggested to stop in on a recommendation of a friend. Glad we did! Great food and good company! PS: The bacon was the best I have ever had!!
