First timers here! I will start off by saying, I really would like to give Nadeau's another try in the future but my first visit was not as great as I had hoped. This week I brought my family here to eat for the first time ever. We pulled up and entered through the front door, not knowing the main entrance was in the back? Anyhow, we walked in and the entire section of the restaurant we walked in from was closed off by highchairs and a wet floor sign. So we had to make our way past those just to get in to the side to order. So right from the beginning it was not really welcoming. I want to be understanding to the situation because perhaps they don't have enough staff to clean all the tables, I'm not sure but maybe put a sign saying use back door if patrons shouldn't be on that side. The side that was available was full so I asked about seating and I was told there was seating by the back door downstairs. Fine. We ordered an array of items including a BLT, a steak and cheese, kids chicken chunks, a Greek salad and a meatball sub with light sauce. Unfortunately for me, I received a Harvest Salad instead. I thought maybe Nadeau's was just trying to put a spin on things, as it did contain Feta cheese, but it was not until after I left that I read the menu online and realized I was given a Harvest Salad. The lettuce also did not taste or looked like it had been washed. My meatball sub, I requested light sauce on and it was loaded with sauce. The meatballs were warm but not hot. I took more sauce off the sub than there were meatballs. I did confirm on my receipt that light sauce was requested. The chicken chunks for my child's meal were definitely hot and cooked in fresh oil so I can appreciate that. But upon breaking up the chicken for her, more than half the pieces of chicken were fatty chunks. Again, I would like to give this place another try in the future but this was our first experience as a family at this establishment.
My order was the best, cooked the way I wanted.
I have been eating Nadeaus for over 49 years. Their steak and cheese sub (not cheese steak!) is fantastic. The Bob's special is excellent as well. Very highly recommended.
1st time going to Nadeau's on recommendation from a friend, tried calling for 40 mins with no answer! Went to sub shop and found phone waiting resting on counter and was told " yeah we got really swamped". I ordered a steak tip sub when I got home id did not look anything like the picture on their page ( mostly bread, mayo and cheese). The worst steak tip sandwich ever, will not be going back.
Philly steak sub . Figured I’d give them another try . Got food there a couple of times a couple of years ago. Wasn’t impressed. Expensive for what you get .This time was no different. Can get twice the sub for half the price at Market Basket. Third time was not the charm
Nadeau's steak tip and cheese sub is legendary. Cheesesteaks are my guilty pleasure and I've done the tour of Philly and tried all their best...which are all outstanding in their own right...but they're not a steak tip and cheese sub! I've recommended this place to hundreds of people and have always received high praise.I was born and raised in NH, but for the last 15 yeas I have lived in Washington, D.C. and make it back several times a year to see family and friends. Nadeau's is always my first stop after landing and my last stop before leaving the state. I've even brought a few through TSA security and the guards gave me a fist bump when I told them what it was. I cannot recommend their steak tip enough. I can't speak to the rest of their menu, but you will never be disappointed going the tip rout.Love to see that the business continues to grow and expand. I wish they would consider putting a store or new concept in D.C., they would dominate down here.
Busy place for lunch. But service was great and food was awesome. Orders made fresh while you wait.
The guy that took my order tonight is the same guy who messed up my order for the 3rd time. Ever since Charlie's has opened nadeaus has gone down hill for some reason they also forgot how too shreed there philly cheese steak they changed the pickles and I think they also changed the Philly subs too not impressed.
A Goffstown institution, and an excellent family owned and operated sub and sandwich shop. Outstanding.
Busy place, ofcourse it's good. Wonderful staff and excellent subs
