Amazing food, fantastic ambience, an overall wonderful, memorable dining experience. To watch the chefs work to plate each course is so much fun & the wine pairings were perfect! I can’t recommend this spot enough.
A must do at least once in your life whether you just have a cocktail in the living room or join them for "stages"!
Finally made it to Stages, and glad I did. This is a special dining experience which I find enjoyable, but realize it might not be for everybody. Think Omikase, where what you eat is left up to the chef. Reading older reviews, it seems that a list of ingredients used to be presented, but that was not the case for us, we were only asked about allergies. We started by enjoying a cocktail in the front living room, and then invited to sit at the chef's counter and begin an epicurean journey. No menu is presented, and the chefs begin cooking and present you with one beautiful and delicious plate after another. Chef Evan and his helper are clearly very talented and make the preparation and plating look easy, but the flavors, textures and combinations are complex, and it doesn't all come together by chance. We've experienced this type of dining a few other times at other venues, and feel that it truly is a rare experience and I think worth the time and expense. If you have an opportunity to book, I strongly recommend you give this a try.
The food was outstanding as one would expect, but the price for the portion sizes was outrageous. We knew the price going into it, but didn't expect to leave hungry. Friends have asked about our experience and I was honest that the food was outstanding, but the price was absolutely not worth it. I had also inquired to have my husband's meal to be gluten/dairy free and they advised that it would be mostly gluten free, but could not adjust to be dairy free which we understood, but were told that there would be a cheese course that had other elements to it that were not dairy. However, there were 3 courses with heavy dairy where we both ended up sick because it was so rich. Again the food was amazing, we just wished the portions were 30-50% larger to justify the price and so that we left actually full.

What a cool dining experience. If you are a foodie and are an adventurous eater this is the place for you. There are many small courses to try and all are excellent. Everything is made and plated in front of you as you sit at the kitchen. There is no choice of meals as you eat what the chef makes. I will definitely go again.
I highly recommend both the dinning experience and the attached lounge! The dinning experience is truly like having a private chef for the night since there are only enough seats for 6 guests. It was so much fun trying to guess what chef Hennessey was cooking (and usually be incorrect, but pleasantly surprised). The combination of unique, local flavors was just fantastic.As far as the lounge goes, Bernadette makes the most spectacular mocktails (something I have been struggling to find). She really puts great passion in what she does to rival chef Hennessey, and it shows. The inventive mocktails (definitely loved the surprise ones), combined with the delicious small plates from Hennessey’s kitchen in a very relaxed atmosphere makes for a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!
An incredible taste experience. Each creation is very special and tastes fabolous - there was nothing that I did not like. Absolutely something for food lovers who also like to spend a little more.
