Never a gamble with this local breakfast and lunch spot. The service is fast and friendly. The food is generously plated… and DELICIOUS. Only place in NH where you can get good biscuits and gravy. Not a bank breaker.Only thing I’d change is the size of the parking lot. But I guess that’s a side-tribute to its success.5-stars.
Three friends and I had breakfast this late morning. We had a bit of a wait, but that was our fault for getting there at their busiest time. Kersten B was our friendly, efficient server. 2 of us had the Greek omelet, which they pronounced very good. One had the half farmers breakfast. She got 1 pancake, one sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs and toast. I had 1 slice of French toast and bacon. Their baked goods are all baked in-house. My Fr toast was beyond good...I wish I'd ordered 2 slices. I ordered a brownie to go for my husband. He just finished it, and is still raving about how excellent it was! All-in-all it was an extremely successful outing. I recommend The Post to anyone who likes good, home-style food! We'll be back!
Your chocolate milk is good, but your eggs, sausages and pancakes are weak. The pancakes were to dry and overcooked, dark dark brown instead of the ideal gold/yellow, which left them chewy and poor tasting. The sausage is sorta spongey, also very dry, I had to drench it in syrup for it to be worth anything. The eggs were poorly seasoned + they made my eggs wrong, ordered scrambled, they gave me Sunnyside Up. You severely need a new chef, one with awareness, one that enjoys cooking. I will gladly assume your current chefs position, I can assure you I cook much better, will present plenty of new food ideas and can actually season food. The POST on Concord Main Street is better than this one by a longshot, please take some tips from them ? ? ?
We picked the Post restaurant based on T/A reviews for the "Newell Post." As it turns out, a few years ago, new ownership took over from the Newell family and shortened the name to just "The Post." They also recently opened a second Post restaurant right in downtown Concord. It was a wonderful choice for breakfast. We had a booth by a window, so it was really a bright and cheerful spot. I had the Southern Benny and my wife had the maple cream crepe (with a side of kielbasa). Tasha, our server, was both friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my breakfast, and my wife enjoyed hers although it was more like having a desert crepe for breakfast. Their lunch menu looked very good, and the bakery display of deserts, certainly looked good. We don't frequently find ourselves in Concord for breakfast or lunch, but next time we do, "The Post" will definitely be on our list.
Absolutely our favorite breakfast spot. Have been several times with a large party. Very accommodating, great food, fantastic friendly service and its super clean.I highly recommend.
This place far exceeded expectations! The servers were fantastic and the food was great. Highly recommend!
Always a pleasure there. The corn beef hash is always so good. Staff is very friendly. The only down side is the parking lot is small.
