The Barley House was the perfect choice for lunch after touring the State House, as it is located directly across the street. My wife and I started with the spinach and artichoke dip and then proceeded to the House burgers with Swiss. The burgers were excellent! They were obviously fresh ground as they were moist, tasty, ample, and perfect. The soft roll and lettuce with tomato made it delicious. We were later told that the meat is indeed fresh from local ranchers. Our experience was even more memorable as we were served by Augusta, who was on her last shift before leaving in three days to continue her studies in Scotland. We wished her well and enjoyed our conversation.

Barley House has great food. Burgers are awesome, but the whole menu is good. I could put their beer cheese sauce on anything I eat! I do wish they would bring back the bangers and mash, but there is still plenty of great stuff to choose from.
We visited The Barley House on our way through Concord. It was easy to find and parking was easy too. (It was a Sunday afternoon) We sat outside. Service was good. The food was good and served hot. I had the fried flounder with sweet potato fries. My husband had a bacon burger cooked perfectly medium. We started with the calamari special. Fresh and yummy!! It is a little pricey (as stated in other reviews) for what you get but you also have to take into account you are downtown in the city. We would certainly stop in again.
Located in downtown Concord, this place is a local gem. The service is prompt and attentive without being overdone with many of the staff nicely dressed. The charm of the bar is enhanced by a great selection of local brews and hand crafted drinks. The food was super, I got the fish and chips. I know, how good can this be. It was the best I've had-and I've been to England twice. So, there's that! The slaw didnt thrill me but a minor thing.
Delicious food. Chicken tenders + pizza was amazing! Can’t complain about a thing. The staff is great. Friendly and attentive. The inside is very clean and hip. Perfect environment for a great meal.
Had a great experience with family here last night. Our server was spot on with timing, and every one of our needs. And the food, well it was all delicious. From the apps to dessert, they did not disappoint! And last, but certainly not least, the Creme Brulee. You have to save room for it! Seriously, you really need to taste it. Your taste buds will thank you.?
Only one waiter, so service is slow, but giving benefit of the doubt do to employee shortages. was told this place was known for their burgers. ordered a simple burger, medium. it was so small and well done, burnt on outside. The beef stew is why we came, it was barely warm and the gravy was thick like a paste and very bland. the atmosphere is great. I'm willing to say it was just an off night and going to give it another try one day.
