Husband and I wanted to go to a casual but authentic Greek restaurant to support your local community. The reviews is initially what made us decide to go although it was further from home then we'd like.The lamb gyro was superb, so fresh and so clean tasting. The falafel was yummy but nothing extraordinary, I would've asked for less onions. We also ordered desert, Baklava which was such a treat! WOW. Like we've had baklava before but this was by far the BEST (didn't skimp on the walnuts) in town.
Wonderful place for Greek fare. I will visit again and try something new.
My first Greek since I moved to Reno. The hummus was a bit tangier than I've had previously but it was still very tasty. I knew I wasn't going to get the puffy pita my Dallas spot spoiled me with but the pita here is now my favorite regular pita. I wasn't impressed with the lentil soup but I didn't expect to be. I've only had lentil soup I liked from one restaurant. The gyro was absolutely stuffed and delicious. It was enough for probably three meals. The only unexpected disappointment was the fact that the hours listed on Google were incorrect.
Delicious food! I go here when I'm craving Gyros! Their falafel is better than schwarmageddon in my opinion, and I love their spanikopita! It seems to be made with grape leaves instead of spinach, which provided a good flavor! Expect it to be presented more like sliced baklava than like the typical frozen spanikopita you get at the grocery store. They do take at least a 30 minute lunch break at 3 pm, so make sure you go there before hand, or you head in after 4pm to make sure they're back!
I worked here a year ago and the place was just disgusting, there was ant nest in the back kitchen under one of the tables, I noticed because when I was chopping the vegetables i notice a bunch of ants scrooling up. I cleaned all I was able to clean but Jacqueline (the owner) didn't have no interest in deep cleaning the back kitchen, and a few days later I found a bunch of cockroaches next to the refrigerator and under the microwave, after that I stopped working here because it was disgusting and the cashier was not splitting the tips correctly but the owner and the cashier were really close friends and the owner bviously let it slide.
Got Gyros for takeout. Very tasty, and fast to complete the order for us. Inside of the restaurant was kind of a mess (during 2021), maybe due to no indoor dining at the time.
We really like Nikos. The service is always incredible. The food is consistently good. The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from your local neighborhood Greek restaurant.
Amazing food and service here. I tried the dolmades and the Souvlaki, and both easily exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the service itself was very quick despite how many people were there. Can't recommend this place enough, you won't regret it.
A great place to dine and chill. A step away from the big crowds long lines. Prices are good so save some room for dessert.
The food was delicious and the wait staff was very kind and attentive. The restaurant is smaller so you get a lot of attention. The food came out quick too.
