Definitely a hidden gem in Reno. The street and fish tacos are absolutely amazing! The margaritas are extremely good! Definitely a place to come eat some authentic Mexican food.
We came in at 9:30pm not knowing they close at 10:00pm. They sat us right away and served us with no issues. The food came fast and was really good. I had a wet burrito and was only able to eat half of it.
Ordered my meal for pick up. All items were present and accounted for with special instructions followed to the T. The taquitos were really good, crispy and filled with flavor. Enchilada was also good, smothered with sauce and cheese. The asada chimichanga was filled with meat and made wet as requested. I was disappointed in the rice side, it was unlike any Mexican rice I've ever seen and was really distasteful. Luckily, half of the chimichanga filled me up. I'd try them again, maybe even dining in as they had a full bar and an eclectic decor inside.
Hands down one of the best spots to get Mexican food. Chill atmosphere and amazing food. I have not had one bad dish there.
Service was good, drinks were 9/10 food was smack. She had fajitas with rice bean w/tortillas i had taco and enchilada combo rice n bean. Wasnt busy at all when we went but that may change for the times you go.
This is the real deal. I ordered a burrito and a quesadilla to share with a friend, and we ordered taquitos to share as an appetizer. The taquitos were a large enough portion to be their own meal. (And they tasted just like my grandma used to make!) The quesadilla was gigantic! And the burrito was massive! We couldn't finish it all. A lot of Mexican restaurants try to say that they are authentic, and miss the mark. Macho Tequilas is legit!Update: if you haven't tried their soup of the day I highly recommend it. So far I've had their red posole, green posole, and albindigas. All of them fabulous!
First visit to Macho Tequilas tonight. Not busy fortunately because there was only one person working the tables and bar. He was very efficient and nothing was lacking in the service department.I tried the chili verde. Not spicy at all but very flavorful. The was some veggies added and that added to the flavor profile. It was interesting and I found it a pleasant meal. The wife had fish tacos. She thought the tacos were well prepared and delicious. The interior was a little busy with the Christmas decor but still clean.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. My husband had the carnitas wet burrito. He's picky likes spicy food. Said it was very good. I had the baracco very good nice flavor. For me it could of been spicier. Would I have it again, yes I would. We will be back come Hot August Nights and we're bringing friends ?
Great Mexican restaurant. Its well hidden but worth the seek and find. The staff was very helpful and engaging and the food was fantastic. Would visit again soon!
Great authentic Mexican food, as close as you will get to eating down in Baja. Best Mexican food I’ve found in Reno since I’ve moved here.
