I hate making review but this place really got to my nerves . So many great reviews…yet strange since I chose to give it a chance based the “”reviews””” . I ordered a birria to go and a burrito . The birria came in a styrofoam plate ? With like 5 small chunks of meat . They folded the soup in aluminum paper ? That honestly a first . I wish they had explained that before I ordered. The birria had No flavor and a burrito was not even cooked . Raw tortilla , the asada tasted old and bad . Sorry . I’ll give another try but tonight it was a waste of money.
food was really delicious, my family and i were traveling and we wanted a an authentic mexican restaurant to stop at, this place did not disappoint

This restaurant sucks. Their food tastes like it has not been cooked yet. Although it is clean, the service is good. It’s just their food is what I don’t like. Don’t come to this restaurant because their food is horrible.
First time going to Chemas last night and It was SOGOOD. I got the birria taco plate with rice & beans. Everything was super flavorful especially the consome, 10/10. Staff was really friendly, we <3 them. I already want to go back!!
Authentic food made extremely well every time. One of my favorites in town and right next to a little statue/candle store for your vela or cologne needs.
Don’t come here if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and good luck finding it in reno .
