Outstanding BBQ. Wagu beef brisket. Mind blown. Melts in your mouth. So tender, you can take your dentures out. They have won awards and it shows. Disappointed I didn't take any pix. Visited them on vacation and I'm very mad that I stopped in on my way out of town. I'll be back and I plan on camping out in the parking lot.
I get off at 3pm they colse at 4pm and I try to rush to Carolina Kitchen but they close in 20 minutes most of the time before I get there and they say there not making any extra meats. I'm sure they're good I just have yet to try them and I've been there about 5 times throughout the 7 days. only if they were open an hour later during the weekdaysYeah I came in last week, like five times. Finding employees isn't an issue anymore because minimum wage isn't $8 an hour I think you should come up with a different excuse..You treat your employees right more people would love to work for you. What's the point on ordering online if 90% of the time I can't even make it.
This is exactly why Reno needs an authentic all you can eat barbecue buffet. I mean fried catfish on an all you can eat buffet is one thing, but it's not barbecue it's fried fish! Give me a buffet that has chicken hot links brisket shredded pork and also pork spare ribs. You can also put sides on the buffet along with some Texas toast. Now that's real barbecue.
I LOVE bbq and my boyfriend and I wanted to try a new spot. We ordered this through Doordash for lunch and portions were good but food was eh. I got the pulled pork combo plate and boyfriend got brisket fries. My plate came with pulled pork and 2 sides and corn bread, I got mac and cheese and fries as sides. I ate the corn bread and it was ok, I think boxed kind taste better. The fries were also ok, they were krinkle cut and they gave a good amount. Mac and cheese was really creamy but no real flavor, it didn't have much taste to it. I love pulled pork and get it at almost every bbq spot I go to. This one made me loose my appetite after a few bites. It had a weird smell. I grew up around many dairy farms and for some reason the smell of this pulled pork made me feel like I was at the farm with the smell of the cows. I tried to keep eating thinking it was me but I let my boyfriend smell and he said the same thing. Best thing on this plate was the pickes!! Boyfriend's plate he said was OK, it was the same krinkle cut fries, loaded with cheese, sour cream on the side and the meat. Most places I've had the meat chopped up and spread over the fries, not sure how most people get their brisket but they gave full slices of brisket just laid on top of the fries and drizzled with the cheese. Other places have given it chopped or brisket tips. Definitely would not be going back to this bbq spot.
Great BBQ! Love the carolina style sauce (they have alternatives). The pulled pork was melt in your mouth. But you know a good BBQ place when they have good sides. The Mac n' cheese was creamy and cornbread was sweet and delicate.
I was there today 12/18/2021. We ordered the rib pack. I Was disappointment -The Mac and cheese was over cooked and they charged for the BBQ sauce extra. We ordered 2 portions of peach cobbler and when we open the cobbler container, they have green mold. I called them but they were closed. I paid $59.81 for food that could have poison us. I did not eat because I was not sure if the food was safe. Also, I observed staff members working in the kitchen and behind the counter not wearing masks, as mandated by Washoe County...Be careful...
The wife and I were up in Reno for the weekend to see Aaron Lewis concert. Googled the area for BBQ, and hit this place up. We had the brisket and ribs, fried okra, baked beans, collard greens… EVERYTHING WAS FABULOUS! We will be back on our next visit.
We had a BBQ brisket and BBQ chicken, and both are pretty good! They come with 2 side dishes. Service was good too.
Very good brisket sandwich! They have lots of sauces. The 2 I tried were very tasty! Go get some good Q at Carolina Kitchen & BBQ!
Love this place. I have been here often and every time I am satisfied with my food
