We met family here for dinner on their recommendation. Didn't think their BBQ was special or great, actually it was less than average. We didn't like their bbq beans or cole slaw.

I had the combo plater with ribs, hot link and brisket. The ribs were kinda tough. I would have expected them to be more tender at a place like this. The hot link was not really good. I was too soft and gritty. The brisket was very good! Most of the sauces taste like a cigarette, but of the 3 the hot is way better. My children love this place, but for the money, I don't think I would go back. If I did go back, I would just have the brisket and maybe I'd try the pulled pork. The sweet potato crunch is good, but the potato salad was basic. The corn bread was really good.I was happy that they served beer, but when I saw that you just get a bottle I cancelled it because it's not what I was looking for.The servers and hostesses were nice.

We have been here a few times, it's a meat and potatoes kinda place. Fridays - is fish fry night and it's DELISH. But every other day, we start with the Kiss Ass Fries! SO GOOD! And then - brisket or/and ribs. The 50/50 burger is DH's fave.

NOT a BJ'S chain restaurant! Locally owned for decades. Very good BBQ. Do ribs, brisket, ham, chicken, turkey and sausages. Huge portions, lots of good sides. Fast, friendly service. Have had many breakfasts and dinners here over the years.

First of all - this place has some great food! Like really really great food. I am not from the south but I have been around it enough and I can honestly say - YUM!!!! Second and almost as important is the service that you receive from this hard working crew. Outstanding team work and pleasant work atmosphere.I do not go to eateries more than once - I had to make an exception. I was so excited to see that they had a seafood boil Saturdays (on the sign it says serving 11-9 - but you really need to be there before 5pm - it's so good it sells out). I missed out on the seafood boil and it really broke my heart. I honestly have no other reason to return to Reno other than to get to this place on a Saturday at 11am. It was a wait to be seated both times I went. The people up there know what they have in this gem of a restaurant!

I came here years ago, I believe 2017 and got the brisket platter. I chose the beans and dirty rice. I was born in Louisiana and that wasn't dirty rice. I don't know what it was but it wasn't dirty rice at all. Also those beans are a joke. They were not barbecued beans at all. They were more like Mexican beans that had been smothered in chili powder. I grew up in Texas and I have never seen anybody who puts chili powder and beans and cause them baked beans or barbecued beans.

Coming from the south, I wasn't sure what to expect. The decor is cute. The smell is perfection. The restrooms were clean. The staff was friendly & fast. The food was okay. Happy with Coke products & beer selections. I had the brisket. My coworkers had ribs and bad ass fries. We wouldn't return.

Each time we’ve hit Reno BJ’s is on our list for a meal! Solid BBQ with friendly staff. Loved our waitress! . We are a brisket loving family so we devoured the brisket along with shrimp and grits, fried mac and cheese, roast beef dip, BBQ platter and specialty fries! Did I say we loved the brisket? ?. I also threw in a side salad to balance out the meat.

BJ’s is cozy and relaxing but most of all the food and service are both 10/10. I can’t find one thing to improve on. The onion rings are amazing, and the turkey is so tender. I’ll definitely be back soon!

My favorite was the champion ribs with mac'n'cheese and mashed potatoes, so much flavor and colorful meat, the service was excellent, and our waiter was very kind, however, the sides were rather bland and tasteless i was not impressed with the mac and cheese, the mashed potatoes had no flavor, however the corn bread with ribs was excellent. I would make a detour for this restaurant in the future. It will be nice to see what other side dishes the restaurant offers
